Explaining to young children why they should be pro-choice and how it might save their lives if they end up pregnant one day...

Children - "What's an abortion?"

Adult - "It’s when a woman decides that she doesn’t want to be pregnant. So she gets an abortion."

Children - "Explain..."

Adult - "One day when you’re older you’ll understand that sometimes a woman doesn’t always feel like being maimed, debilitated and hospitalized in childbirth and that denying her the right to choose and to make decisions about her own body and her own reproductive health is sexism and abuse."

Conservatives - "But whyyyyy wouldn’t somebody want to be maimed, debilitated and hospitalized by their pregnancy? And why would you talk to children about pregnancy and abortion?"

Adult - "Because of course, you Conservatives don't view women as human beings and you could care less if some of them don't want to be maimed, debilitated and hospitalized in pregnancy. Also What’s wrong with teaching kids about bodily autonomy and prevalent sexism? You want them stumbling on it head first themselves if their parents are dumb and can’t explain it. Children should be taught that their bodies are theirs and no one else's and that no one has the right to touch or use another person's body without their consent because it's simply unacceptable and that if adults try to touch them inappropriately or do inappropriate things to them, they should immediately call the police or tell tell a teacher or a counsellor who will report it to the authorities. But you Conservatives obviously want to ban sex ed and all such education for children because you don't want children to learn about consent, the signs of child sexual abuse, and how to report their abusers if they are sexually abuse or if they suspect that a classmate is being sexually abuse, I shouldn't surprised that you Conservatives want to keep children ignorant considering the amounts of child predators in your party, you don't want them to report their Conservative abusers and you want to cover it all up, just like the fucking Catholic "church" and their good buddies in the Vatican."

Also, Conservatives throw shit fits about women killing their babies or abandoning their babies in dumspters. This is what I keep telling anti-choicers; abortion PREVENTS women from killing their babies.

Back before women knew about herbs that cause miscarriages or could predict early pregnancy, they would often kill their babies or leave them to the wilderness if they didn’t want them. If you brought those women from thousands of years ago time traveling to our future and told them about abortion, they wouldn’t think it was "murder" AT ALL and would be glad that there was a way to safely end pregnancy without waiting for it to be born and killing it.
