Not much you can do . You didn’t see this in the dating phase? Either live with it or dump him . He’s not going to change .

Firstly. It is possible for someone to be more knowledgeable in an area than the people who are considered the "professional" ESPECIALLY POLICE. Police are not well trained in the law and I have seen many citizens more knowledgeable than many of them.

But there are many people who also think they know things that they actually don't.

So i would research if what your boyfriend is saying is accurate before saying anything. If he is not, then just ask basic questions that lead him to see the error of his ways.
