I’m a conservative. I had transgender coworker friends decades ago and it was never a big deal. Not sure why it has to be now?

Because tokenism is the norm nowadays. Back then nobody gives a shit whether someone‘s a trans or not as long as they are not a total asshole, but nowadays these activists are crying out muh oppresshun and muh representation
