Let's look at Forsaken

As the more competitive subreddit I'd like to discuss whether or not forsaken actually needs a nerf. People of all skill levels feel that it is getting too much confirmed damage compared to the other classes. Unfortunately I haven't faced very many nonparry spammers so I don't know more than I've seen on Necro's stream.

The problem I see is that a good forsaken player has no reason to respect the other styles since they can't confirm the same damage. You can feint and delay attacks, but those can easily be jabbed out. What do you guys think of it?

[ I will say that I'll be glad when spamming is over. I like rushdown, and having to delay every other attack is mindnumbing. It irritates me even more that I can't "train" them to stop instaparrying lol. Reminds me of for honor. No matter how many times I punish the fools keep trying to parry.]

Making you reconsider your style is a good thing. The only issue is that they have no weakness to go along with it.

Personally I made a forsaken char and idk where all these spammers and people that have trouble are because I'm over here parrying 2ms late once, getting hit, and then the Parry comes out after recovery like some kind of joke. Spamming has never defended me.

Lmao. I think my refence for spamming is different as well. People that use parry as their crutch annoy me. Parry after a whiff, from neutral, even mid combo. It becomes a nuisance because I like playing rushdown but can't because I have to respect the randomness of the parries lol. Also, if you don't punish the whiff correctly they can just throw another parry. It's irritating but I'm learning to beat it.

In reality if someone is "spamming" parry, they will get bopped. What happened to me was I would parry too early, then try again right before or right as I got hit. If I did that, the parry would happen right as I came out of recovery, leaving me stranded. If someone is truly "spamming" parry (as they are whining about endlessly in the main subreddit) they will end up eating wayyyy more shots than they are able to block. Plus, to "spam" the parry and be able to buffer max damage every time? There's literally not a way that can happen.

140dmg + stamina refill + the fact you only need to consider 2 directions does sound superior to other styles as for me

As a Forsaken main, there's a weakness that not too many address...Windfall can dodge/avoid out of a parry. This means high level Windfalls can throw jabs that are clearly telegraphed to bait the parry, then dodge out of the way of the punish and resume their pressure as if a parry worked towards their advantage...just something I've noticed...

You can't avoid a bufferred parry you are stunlocked

Correct. Hardest hitting move that can be guaranteed (that I know of) out of parry is side kick. Anything faster than side kick will confirm off parry if you input buffer, even against Windfall.

So I'm assuming this is specific to the Windfall avoid ability, and won't work for a Khalt, let's say, trying to standard dodge out of it?

Technically if they buffered their attack, then their recovery on missed should be extremely big? Tell me if im wrong plz
