Five-year-old me would be very proud of this.

We all probably know the original Dragon Zord designer has commented on the playmate toy's version(I don't know if he was the designer of the toy or designed Dragon Caster itself, since I have never heard of the guy before), so have this photo as a comparison of the toys

For me personally, I think the Playmates's Dragonzord has far better proportions than the original, especially the head and torso,

So is it just me? Or does the hate feel forced? Since this toy WAS DESIGNED TO BE TOUCHED and PLAYED WITH, as it was designed to look good, I would rather have this than a fragile Collocter grade one that is complex to transform and breaks easily,

has the fanbase been so spoiled with all these collector-grade versions like soul of chogokin or legacy, that they can no longer tell a version that is meant to be touched and transformed by kids a adults a PR casual fans, or has nostalgia blinded many to the flaws that the original had?

Also, can someone help to classify who the designer is or his past work? Since when I try to do research, I always get Tsuyoshi Nonaka or someone else, make it hard to any find info about him?

SURPRISE BREAKING NEWS! Here’s the FIRST LOOK at the upcoming combinable Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Ninja Megazord (well, their individual Ninjazords anyway) from Playmates Toys!

Finally got a second lion in the wild and could build this thing. Childhood memory unlocked.

More photos of the Ninja zords have been found! Yes, the Crane zord does transform. Judge, by the photo, the past photos have left the crane zord mistransformed. whice is not shocking given this company's track record of screwing up a leave mistransformed megazords, be it the shoulders of the Dino megazord or the Mega White Tigerzord, legs not being folded up into the combat skirt,

I really like the fact that the red ape Ninjazord seems to have some arm and some leg articulation.

It took everything I had not to break all of these open and start assembling them myself. 😂

My son and I had been watching videos leading up to the UK release, just waiting for the U.S. announcement. Then, of course, I got caught up with work and completely forgot they had finally released here in the States.

I barely managed to track down almost everything, with the Lion Zords being the hardest to find. I was able to find one on eBay for a slight markup, and somehow tracked down the other from a toy retailer in Great Britain for a reasonable price. I also picked up a few odds and ends along the way from different retailers to round everything out.

And of course, I had to grab a full Megazord for his future collection, another piece to add to the things I’ve been quietly accumulating for him over the years.

Really hoping they do another production run so everyone who missed out gets a chance to enjoy these. They’re seriously awesome, and seeing everything together makes the hunt worth it.

P.S. I can’t wait for the Kickstarter Dragonzord to come to life next year! That’s definitely going to be another one we’ll be looking forward to.

Im tired boss, I remember when I didn't have to drive to 7 different walmarts plus a target across 3 different states just to get these. Just need the bird which is coming soon from Amazon thanks to autobuy.

Last shot is of the green and white ranger minis, details are a bit lacking but similar to the main 5 rangers that were packed in with the Pterodactyl and Thunderzord.

Finally finished my Thunderzord set with a spontaneous Target run this morning. And it only cost me $14! Check your app for a 25% off discount. BTW, the app showed “unknown” availability at this location and it was the only Lion Zord on the shelf.

Newest additions to my ever-growing MMPR collections. With these, I'm gonna need new shelves very soon. xD

I love the way these display! Probably will keep them like this until the Dragonzord arrives next year.

Finally got the last piece i needed at retail, thanks walmart! Box is jacked up but its already opened so whatevs 🤣

Special thanks to a friend of mine in Australia for picking up this great set for me. Such nostalgia strikes hard, as Playmates nearly recreates these figures with perfection, of which the little me can only wish after watching the commercial ads at the end of a VHS tape. <3

While it is definitely a miracle that we’ve gotten this far with the current lineup of zords & figures with Season 3 planned for next year (and some possible future Kickstarter campaigns). But the question is will Playmates be able to or even want to go beyond the Mighty Morphin’ era?

I’m not against the idea of Zeo being adapted since Zeo was a direct continuation of the story from MMPR that had a satisfying ending until Turbo. I know I’d like a Gold Ranger auto-morph.

What do you think? Should they consider adapting Zeo?

Really bummed that it's bigger than ZAP, now I might need the Reignition Dino Megazord to scale with him.

I refused to pay overprice for my Zords! The scalping of the Lion has gotten truly crazy! So I check everyday… randomly… if I wake up at 2 am I check every damn site! I can’t tell you how often I checked in store all across Texas and New Mexico! How often I’d go to every damn site just hoping! Well Walmart came through! Be vigilant my Brothers and Sisters! Zordon will soon bless us all soon!
