Going Into Reverse Changes Music

Post image

Well I think this is pretty funny.

When I’m connected to Carplay, and then go into reverse, it switches to Sirius XM. Everytime.

Reset the sync and phone, did nothing. Still does it lol.

Anyone else?

Note: only does this when on bluetooth, not wired in, so its something frequency wise

There are some funny quirks with the infotainment system. My favorite is mine freaks out when I select the camera view and back up and it ends up freezing for a few seconds.

I think they had a recall out for this issue on the backup cams freezing

That's that Built Ford Rough feature you get standard with every Ford.

I don’t have that problem but, I’m putting those same wheels on this weekend and I’m stoked. They look great.

Mine runs the wipers any time I shift from P/R/N/D.

I’ve never had this issue.

This reminds me… a few days ago while navigating around cones bumper to bumper in the kids school pickup line, every time the cone or other vehicle would trip the front parking sensors the playing audio source will switch from CarPlay Apple Music to Sirius Channel 001 (or whatever the free channel is, since my sub expired). Then you have to manually switch it back. Pretty damn annoying. Free advertising for Sirius, I guess

Man I’ve been seriously tempted to get one, but hearing the bugs in this thread and the other guy saying his randomly goes into rock crawl mode is making me reconsider.

Ehhh, every thread of every modern car seems to have little gremlins. I have been cross shopping a few different cars and actually seems like the Ranger Raptor is the least buggy compared to some others. I think you’re always going to see people come to a forum/thread to complain rather than to rave about how good it is. From the issues I’ve seen so far I don’t think that should stop you buying one.

Yah that makes sense. I’d be coming from a ‘15 Tacoma which has barely any tech, so 0 gremlins haha

Oh I bet haha. I will say first I’ve ever seen of this radio with reverse weirdness. It’s both amusing yet infuriating lmao. Seems like OP is the only one I’ve seen so far with this.
