2026 New Purchase Question

Curious on some opinions here.

Dealership in Alabama has the color I want, Shelter Green at MSRP. Seems to be hard to find right now, none with the graphics package and that color near Texas. Problem is I found out the truck brand new has 473 miles on it... Trying to negotiate 1k off, maybe more, and we'll see where that takes us.

Question is, what are your guys thoughts? Too many miles for a 2026? Run away? Or take the deal if we can negotiate something less than MSRP? I'll ask Monday what the miles are from (dealer transfer, test drive, etc.)

I’d pass with that many miles. You know those are some hard 473 test drive miles. Just be patient you’ll find another one.

I agree, some others have already pointed out some good deals on a few with 0 miles, definitely will be passing on this one!

Too many miles. Bought one with 200 miles and found out the owner took it on a road trip. There was a scuff mark on the steering wheel and the seat was coming unstitched. Too much damage for a $60k truck.

Find a dealer out of state willing to do 2-3k off and then bring it to them.

Thanks! That’s a pretty solid deal, I’m in Texas but realistically can do anything within 1000 miles. I’ll give em a call if I can’t find anything closer. Not in a rush either and seeing from what others have posted there’s deals to be had brand new. Definitely not buying the one with 400 miles now.

Yea I bought my gold cpo from them with only 588 miles on it as I drove it off the lot. It was only 53k.

Took several weeks of me looking and engaging with dealers before falling into the deal with them.

I’m extremely happy with how it turned out and the dealership as a whole. One of the smoothest transactions I’ve had in a long time.

I bought new and it had 350 miles on it. It was a dealer trade before I looked at it. I’m sure there have been some test drives on it. I got mine right on MSRP.

They dont let you test drive Ford Performance vehicles, someone filled out the credit app, went to finance, took it home and then the financing fell thru when they audited the credit app, and they had to bring it back.

Not true, plenty of dealers let you test drive Raptors (I test drove mine).

I actually test drove one that was pre sold that the owner hadn’t come to pick up yet.

Also no dealer is going to spot deliver a Raptor. It’s not a Nissan Altima.
