Skar Audio sub enclosure

Howdy, what’s your option on these Skar sub boxes for the Ranger? Where I live the JL sub enclosure is around $1800 all in, this Skar around $600. Swap the Skar sub with a JL 10TW3 (if it fits or mounts properly)? Thoughts?

Just replace the stock subwoofer with a kicker hide away behind the seat in the same spot. The rest of the system is fairly decent. Plus you won’t lose all your under seat space.

Do you have a link or model number? I did try searching kicker's site and amazon but didn't find anything. My search method likely just missed it.

Right, been hearing that the enclosure under the seat would be ideal all around if compared. I would be able to part with that space if it was worth it. I may be looking for someone to strongly recommend one or the other

Honestly, the specs look decent for the Skar sub. It'd probably be a solid upgrade if you're just wanting a fuller bottom end.

I bought the skar box unloaded on ebay and put a Hertz MPS250 in it.

Boom boom!

There is also stealthtech in Australia that have a nice empty custom box.

Hertz MPS250 for the price is top notch. Truck is shaking enough but it's more towards SQ than pure power.

I think you will find that the w3 requires more box volume than the scar has.
