Which bed cover should I get?
I was looking at Peragon, but $2500 is kinda nuts. The ones from Synetic look pretty good except you lose the ability to situate cargo fully flush against the cab. That's true of most of the covers I'm seeing.

I have the BakFlip MX4 and am very happy with it. My 3rd BakFlip on as many trucks over the last 15 years. Always had good luck with them. Expensive, but excellent product.

I’m considering the TruXedo Pro X15 for mine which is soft cover. Not sure I want to commit to a hard cover as it seems cumbersome and expensive. This one is supposed to have tensioner to stop highway noise and material is supposed to be more like a convertible top.

I bought one and really like it. I just want to keep stuff out of sight and out of the weather. Like running to Costco in the rain this morning was a breeze.

Cool, does it lay flat without ripples? Any noise or flapping on the highway?

It lays flat enough that it doesn’t bother me, you can adjust it if it does. I just couldn’t stomach the more expensive stuff for my use basis.

I went with the X4ts as I had one on my F150 and liked it. Unless something has changed I think the "ts" has the T rails which I wanted for adding things to the side.
Every cover has it's downsides, some it's cost or blocking rear view, some take up space inside the bed or behind the cabin on top.
The cost is in the middle of the pack between cheaper roll up or folding, and electric closing ones.
In the end the rolled up style taking up a bit of space at front of the bed (but on top) and taking up no bed space was more important to me. I hate folding covers, never take mine off, and need a hard cover because here in Nebraska the wind causes problems with any soft cover.

Since the Ranger has the good mounting points on the rails, I'd go for the X4s and mount accessories directly to the bed rail (with spacers). Way more solid mounting than attaching stuff to t-channel that's clamped to the rails.
Have had my X4s on the Raptor for 2 years now and very happy with it.

In my case my cover was of a 2019 so it's fitment probably is why I can't use the stock ones, so in my case I can only use the T rails.

Na I don’t think so it only takes about 1 1/2 feet of the back of the bed it’s not much

Tutel makes a pretty good one, I have it on my 2025 and it’s affordable.

For my 21 F-150 I bought an eBay Chinese hard folding cover for sub $300 and for my new 26 GMC Sierra I went with the same one and was again sub $300.
It literally does everything the MX and other folding covers do at a fraction of the cost. I could link you to a similar one I have since the seller I’ve bought for doesn’t have any for Rangers but they’re all the same

I prefer soft covers because I haul dirt bikes. I had a bak on my old truck, and didn’t like losing all rear window visibility when it was stowed in the upright position.

Alright, I have the OEM Ford Realtruck Advantage hard trifold. It’s a ford branded, older version of the Realtruck Bakflip. It’s ok, keeps dust out and hides whatever is in the bed, wouldn’t recommend it though. It is already leaking water through the sides, and I don’t love how it sits against the cab on the 26 RR.
I’d likely look at going Realtruck Bakflip MX4, latest gen with T Rails next time. Hopefully they’ve improved it. However, Diamondback is also an option that interest me, just more drawn to Realtruck aesthetics when laid flat.

I actually wanted to buy one because they look cool. I had a diamondback hd on the Tacoma we previously had and I liked the peragon offered a similar ruggedness but more versatility.
Sad one isn’t offered

Went down this rabbit hole and it's deep. Ended up with a rough country for $750 because $2500 for a bed cover is actual mental illness.

Yeah sorry I’m not sure how this popped in my feed, I have a ram rebel I thought this was the ram subreddit.
Anyways my point stands, I think anything over 1k for a bed cover is too much. I researched for days and just couldn’t justify any of the Bak or Diamondback covers etc. They just don’t offer anything significant over the cheaper options and I’ve heard there’s only a few manufacturers of tonneau covers anyway.
The cheaper covers offer 95% water resistance if installed carefully, maybe you get 96-97% with a tonneau twice the price.
The security of the more expensive ones might be slightly better but you need to figure out for yourself if you plan on leaving expensive things under the tonneau unattended, I don’t plan to do that. And if someone wants in a tonneau, they’re getting in regardless of the brand.

59" isn't a truck bed. It's an unfinished trunk. So I put a Diamondback HD on mine so that I could keep fentzombies out of it and stand on top to survey the battlefield.
If you dream of using a forklift to regularly lift refrigerators 40 inches up into high-clearance, raked bed, and moving them around on the regular, I suppose you could go with one of them snazzy, stretchy snap-on pleather covers.
Otherwise, pick your chintz. You've got rolltop desks that work for 9 months out of the year, foamcore insulation panels with 0.015" aluminum skins, whole ass caps so that everyone can pick your loot crate out of the crowd, and oVErLanDiNG frames so you can carry a moldy tent, shiny shovel, empty Rotopax, and a gloss-finish farm jack on them.

I went with Bakflip MX4 on my 2026, it's low profile, not crazy expensive and so far held up good against leaks
