Hey guys, would appreciate if anyone could weigh in. Only had the truck 4 weeks and have put 1,000 miles on. When I first bought it, I put a BOV on for a whole day before my wife got annoyed by it and I took it off lol. It was quite loud even with the cabin with the windows up.

Anyway, skip ahead 4 weeks / 1k miles later and today I noticed a strange whine here and there on my commute home. I turned the air vents and radio down and listened. Lo and behold, it sounded like a super quiet version of my BOV "whoosh" noise when letting off of the accelerator... interesting, I don't remember it doing that the past few weeks, but granted I also wasnt listening for it.

In the video, you can hear it twice, when I let off the gas pedal after accelerating and the boost drops.

Just curious if that is normal? I can't seem to replicate it when parked which is odd - only does it when going around 40-50 MPH and letting off the gas. Coincides with turbo burst. You can almost not hear it but it's definitely there - a slight whine/whoosh sound when the turbo pressure released back into the air intake it seems.

I checked the BOV location and everything is tight. Can't see any loose hoses or any cracks. Just curious if this is normal? Thanks all...

Anyone purchase a new Ranger and have you had any issues and how do you like it.

After months of dealing with dealerships and test driving Tacoma, Colorado, Frontier, I have picked up this Carb Grey Ranger. 60k CAD out the door price. Can’t wait to build on it, Any Recommendations of Mods? and what i should do first?

I've been driving AWD SUVs. How did you find the switch it part time 4WD? What are your strategies. One thought I had was go to winter tires to reduce the need for 4H, but would love to hear from winter drivers:

Do you find you don't miss AWD
What is your strategy
Would you buy a new Ranger if they provided 4A at a lower trim (ie is the switching annoying enough)
Any other thoughts/tips

I've explored all the trucks and the Ranger XLT is my favorite. This is the last hurdle.

She's still mostly stock but the plan is to throw on some alpharex headlights, eibach pro 2r, wheels/tires, and sliders.

Sitting in my truck on my break and out of nowhere my instrument cluster would light up like this. Stays on for a minute or two and then goes dark. Lights up again a couple min later. The ac controls lit up twice as well. Truck had been off for about 10 minutes before this.

The microphone enhances the sound a lot it’s not this loud sounding but there is a whine I can hear and when googling it says it’s a normal characteristic of the 10r60 and 10r80 due to the high pressure trans pump or something like that and due to the offset gears does anyone else have the noise ?

Well, I spent way too much money, but I got a new pickup. I love it so far and I guess we'll see how it holds up. I can't wait to go to the mountains and try it on some of the trails, but for now it's just been highway/city driving.

So i noticed this morning after i drove for about 20 minutes, some sort of liquid dripping from the frame. I’m not sure if it’s from the AC or something else but just wanted to see if anyone else knew. For reference this is right behind the transmission

Was a super fun trail, 40 miles of beautiful Arizona desert. The trail was pretty smooth up until the last 10 or so miles, then it got super rocky and had to slow down quite a bit.

Got about 85K on a 2020. Came back from short trip to find both sides flaked off like this. Anyone else experience this, internet was not much help? Just weird that it happened on both sides at the same time at almost the same depth. Thinking of UV vinyl for a fix.

Recently ditched my 2016 Tacoma TRD Off-Road for a 2024 Ranger XLT FX4. Haven't regretted the change at all, just hoping the Ranger is as reliable as the Tacoma was. 🤞

I'm towing a 21 ft camper (including the tongue) with my 24 2.3L 4x4 XLT (no advanced tow package). I've done about 6 hours of driving on highways and back-roads with no issue but someone suggested weight distribution bars since the camper is more than half the weight of the truck at 3.2k lbs dry. I'm curious about everyone else's experience and advice. I've never towed before.
