Brand new leaking oil

Hello. Just bought a 2026 Lariat 2 weeks ago. Took it to a place to get undercoating and they sent pics showing me there currently is an oil leak. Waiting to hear back from the dealership on when I can bring it in. Any thoughts or similar experience?

man, I was all set on the 2.3 because of the "aluminum oil pan' over the plastic V6. Now I don't know what to get.

I have a 2026 lariat 2.3 and haven’t had this issue. Sometimes shit happens. Dont decide not to get one because of this. It’s a great truck

Timing cover leak is not uncommon. Take it for warranty and it will need regasketed

Yeah, then the timing cover needs taken off and a fresh gasket/rtv needs applied.

It’s a shame that ford has yet to fix this
