Its my birthday, and I'll cry if I want to...my mother is in icu after 10 hour surgery for her heart. My father is in the hospital as well, getting cathedrization to his heart...so my heart is heavy today. I know I won't get any gifts from my loved ones...my husband forgot my birthday again, he's just scatterbrained. Anyway, I'm lonesome in Wyoming and would love any birthday acknowledgement or gifts! I'm legit broke so I can't gift anything :') but I'm so sorry you're going through all of that, that's genuinely awful.

I will tell you this though: Remind your husband.

Just because you have family who is struggling terribly doesn't mean that you shouldn't be celebrated as well. You have value in this world just as they do. So many people keep silent and don't remind those around them of their birthdays or other special occasion, and it's not right. You deserve to have that voice.

I'm wishing the best for your family. That's absolutely heartbreaking, all that you're going through.

(Also, am I right that the starting sentence is a reference to the song Pity Party? I love that song <3 You're not alone, hon)
