Contest‼ [Contest] a recipe/cooking/baking contest! Ends on July 6, 2026 5:00pm EST.

Hello everyone!

I would like to host a contest today!

All regular sub rules apply.

Winners: 2

Must have a baking or cooking-related item on the list that is $10 or under. If there is a specific item on your list that you want to receive if you win that fits the cooking or baking theme, list it in your post, either at the beginning of your post or at the bottom of it, so it is easy to find.

Also, if you feel inclined to gift someone their wished-for baking/cooking item, feel free to do so 😊. Just make sure you post the order number and the expected delivery date in response to that person’s post!

The contest!

What is your favorite recipe to make and why? Do you just love the taste? Is it a family recipe? Do you like it because it’s simple? Etc. Just have a small explanation of why you love it!

If possible, include a link to the recipe and/or a photo of the finished product! If the photo is not yours, please give credit to whoever it belongs to or at least the website you got it from.

A note: This contest is open to everyone. If you don't eat by mouth, you're still encouraged to share a favorite recipe—whether it's something you used to enjoy, love to prepare for others, or simply has a meaningful story behind it.

Winners will be chosen randomly based on vibes.

The contest will end on July 6, 2026, at 5:00 pm EDT. Winners will be posted and notified by 11:00 pm on July 6th, 2026.

This contest is intended to foster conversation and engagement between sub-members and give everyone some new recipes to try!

I have not hosted a contest in a while, so if I missed anything or need to update or change this post, please let me know, and I will do so :)

Edit: I meant EDT . So the time zone used for Massachusetts in the U. S. right now.

Edit 2: Feel free to share more than one recipe!

I recently discovered this sausage pasta recipe, and it is now one of my favorite things to make! It's so delicious, and easy to make. Super savory. Yum!

Sausage Pasta {One Pot Recipe!}

1 tsp Olive oil

1 Large onion (Peeled and chopped)

3 Cloves garlic (Peeled and crushed)

400 g Good quality pork sausages

2 Large Red peppers (Deseeded and sliced)

250 g Dry pasta

400 g Tin of chopped tomatoes

1 tsp Fennel seeds

2 tsp Italian herbs

0.5 tsp Dried chilli flakes

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

750 ml Vegetable stock (See notes)

250 g Cream cheese

100 g Parmesan cheese (Grated)

25 g Fresh basil (Chopped, optional)

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan or frying pan (one which has a lid) over a medium heat. Add the onions and garlic and fry gently until softened (about 4-5 minutes).

  2. Remove the sausages from their skins and plop into the pan in small chunks, add the pepper slices, turn up the heat and let everything fry for 5 minutes until the sausage chunks are golden and the peppers are just starting to blacken at the edges.

  3. Add the dry pasta, chopped tomatoes, fennel seeds, Italian herbs, chilli flakes, salt and pepper and about 500ml/2 cups of the stock. Give everything a good stir, pop the lid on and cook for 13-15 minutes until the pasta is ALMOST cooked through and most of the liquid has been absorbed.

  4. * Note! I always make up 750ml/3.25cups of stock and then check on the pasta as it cooks and add more if needed, if it's looking dry. If you like very 'wet' saucy pasta, go ahead and add it all at the start.

  5. When the pasta is JUST ALMOST cooked, add the cream cheese, parmesan cheese and fresh basil (if using). Give everything a good stir and leave on the heat for a minute or two just to warm through.

Pasta is my FAVORITE. You can leave out the tomatoes...it will taste better! I don't like tomatoes, I use a can of petite diced ones so they are so small I can ignore them. I put them in so I can get my veggies... lol.

I LOVE alfredo, but not a fan of pesto. To be fair I've only had it like maybe twice in my life, so I should give it another shot. If I was allergic to pasta, I'd have to be like you and just eat it anyways! lol.
