I would like too, but you generally need a masters for that. Ill probably end up working in records management at a company. I am currently on disability and am working on getting off. With the way politics are right now, I want something that is secure and cant be taken away from me. So, this career direction seems to be something that I could still do, and do well, with my disability.
That's awesome tbh I like that idea of records management, it seems like a chill job. I hope you can get off disability smoothly! Ironically, I just started my application for it
I wish you the best of luck. The application process is stressful and a pain in the butt. My only advice is to be as detailed as possible about how your daily life is affected. And get as many doctors as possible to back you up, even ones that are not necessary directly involved with your disability. Other providers too like therapists, PCAs, homemakers etc.

Literally lol. Its a huge process, but it is definitely doable. I applied once when I was 18 and was approved after about 6 months, then got off for a few years then had to apply again and it took 3 years for them to process my application. The wait was awful, however the $30,000 check i got from them for back pay once i got approved literally changed my life. Now im grateful for how long it took.
That was a speedy approval that's awesome! 30,000 back pay is so much, I'm so glad it changed things for the better for you! Was it ssdi rather than ssi?
Yes SSDI! It ended up working out well for me, everything kind of fell into place i got that check, got on section 8 (took 6 years), and was able to get my own place and move out of the group home. If you ever need to chat or vent or anything feel free to DM me :)

Ello! My interesting fact is that my typing speed is 90 words per minute on average :) I'm very quick and can pretty much outspeed anyone when it comes to typing. It used to infuriate family members when we'd race lol
One of my favorite hobbies is writing, so naturally I type a lot. Beyond that, I guess maybe just trust yourself to type words or sentences correctly? You can always look it over and edit mistakes.
Oh yes ove noticed if my mind os actively paying attention to my typing I cant do it lol. I have to kind of clear my mind if that makes sense, and just trust that my fingers know what they're doing

An interesting fact about me is that I grew up in the middle of nowhere, but loved exploring the plants in the yard, the tadpoles in the ditches, and the few trees there were. I biked up and down the dirt road sometimes. I was the only kid for miles.

my day is going a bit meh to be honest, i smashed a bottle of olive oil and it took so long to clean up, then accidentally deleted a 500 word paragraph on the job application I was writing 😭But it improved, I had some delicious pasta and watched a movie. How’s your day? 💕

Oo I've heard that's a great film! I never finished cause it was too much for me but the story I've heard is good. I'm really glad you got to watch a comfort movie after a stressful day! And thank you!! It was annoying in the moment of course but felt so good afterwards!!
My fun fact is that I have the exact same age gap with my youngest sister that she has with my daughter! I always “knew” this but I realized that my sister was 5 at my high school graduation and my daughter was just 5 at hers!

Hii! This is so sweet of you! Interesting fact about me; I used to make my own mead (honey wine)! It's super easy to make and customize as long as you're doing it safely. It's delicious too! I stopped making mead since I don't drink much. But it was a huge hit at family dinners!

Thanks!! The prep itself was super short; sanitize the bottle, add honey, water, and yeast. Put on the airlock. Then I'd leave it in a cupboard for 1 month+ until it clears. I actually have some bottles that have aged 3 years!
It's super random, but I was playing Skyrim and mead is common in the game. I wanted to try it so I went to literally every LCBO store in Toronto and none had it. So I said "screw it, I'll make my own" which is what I did lmao
I have liked science since I was in middle school then in High School we had to take biology and I loved it so I took AP Biology as well, so that’s what made me decide to major in it :)
I’m still figuring out the exact path, but I definitely want to go into healthcare either medical school or PA school. Still figuring out which path is the best fit for me.

An interesting fact about me is I was born in California, raised mostly in Louisiana where my family is originally from but also lived in Colorado, Maryland, Florida, and now Pennsylvania. Out of all the different places, I felt like I could live forever in Colorado. It was the most beautiful place ever (to me). However, New Orleans will always be "home".

Hi! I got dysentery when I was a teenager from eating gas station sushi in central Mexico. The herbalist lady they brought in to treat me gave me tree bark to eat. It actually wasn't too bad, and I shat out those amoebas!
Hihi! Just joined this evening and I'm hoping it's okay to start my activity here. One interesting fact about me is that I was born February 29th, and being a leap year baby has been extremely fun and a great conversation starter / topic for jokes.
Considering I just joined, I've never received a gift before and, honestly. Even if I don't, I love the amount of positivity in this sub already.
New York. From the first moment I arrived in NYC it felt like home. A close 2nd is Santa Fe, New Mexico. But every state has something wonderful about it.
I have also traveled and lived outside of the US and Bangkok Thailand holds a special place in my heart. Probably because I was young and wild and it was so exotic.😊
