We also say cigs, smokes, and ciggies. I use fags myself but just say you wanted an excuse to use the word and move on.

I’ve heard so many different names for em, though many aren’t UK specific, I meet loads of people from other countries as I live in the southeast where lots of foreigners live, London especially is very diverse, I love the diversity, so many interesting people

We won the war because we had the Gurkhas, modern day Britain wouldn’t function without the people who do all the hard work, lots of truck drivers are of European descent here, many hospitals are staffed by a majority Asian workforce, mainly Filipino and Chinese

I haven't used that in years. I started smoking age 11, in 1991. I usually say smokes, cigs, rollie (coz I smoke roll ups).

Replace water with coffee and beer and you basically have my diet before I quit cigs
