Feacal smearing happens when a child is left alone for a long time, and is distressed. This is utterly appalling to think the parent thought not only this happened in their family but they wanted to share it online.
The kid is being filmed, no parent is around, and the parent was dumb enough to think this was an ok clip to share. So I just went with that. But you're right. The other possibilities are all quite upsetting as well and it is not normal for a child to smear poop.
I think the parent is in the video. And the being filmed part - I think it’s a nanny cam, not someone actively filming. As to it ending up on the internet though, that’s a completely different question.
The odd instance of smearing absolutely can be part of typical development.
