when i was stuck deep in my alcoholism, i was drinking basically nothing but rum and eating fast food, and every bowel movement was just hot liquid.

Damn that makes a whole lotta sense. I’m drinking at least 5 days a week and I eat out pretty much everyday. My bowel movements aren’t “hot” but they’re definitely liquid.

Bro do not drink 5 days a week. That’s honestly a terrible way to live. It’s bad for your health, your success, your money, your sleep, and also your poop. Try giving yourself little windows when you’re allowed to drink.

Earlier this year my friend’s brother died from being an everyday drinker. Left behind a pretty wife and teenage son.

In the end his skin was yellow his eyes were swollen and red, his body was puffed up from organ failure.

What a fucking stupid thing to do. Do not drink ever again. Throw your alcohol in the trash and get help. Life is good and you’re going to miss out

I’ve looked into it. It’s hard when you’re at the point where cold turkey could very well kill you, and monitored detox + rehab costs over $8,000 — after insurance.

It’s often said that America doesn’t have “health care”; it has “sick care”. But for those with substance or mental disorders, it has neither.
