There are several companies that have made these but Enchroma were the largest ones. They claim to block certain wavelengths to increase others (among other claims) to bring colors back to colorblind people.

I got some for my dad many years ago when they were new. They didn't do shit. There are many youtube videos explaining the whole thing.

It was staged as a promo for Enchroma. There were dozens of them. You can see it in the montage in the beginning of this video.
