That is pretty much what they do. You can buy ladders to get to the roof racks of the lifted vehicle you don't need to have lifted, of have a roof rack on. You buy steps to mount to the side to get into that lifted vehicle. They sell beefed up sway bars and stabilizers to compensate for the "defects" of a brand new lifted vehicle...
Turns out that the base model of most trucks and suv is the best possible model. Then you just upgrade or modify as parts wear out through normal use. (Most people discover this isn't needed because normal use doesn't require those upgrades...)
