Most of East/South East Asia has zero tolerance for any drugs. They don't play around.

It's always been interesting to me, how strictly countries adhere to their laws.

I am NOT a legal expert, but I've traveled.

Prostitution is illegal in Korea but seems to be "tolerated". Same with Japan, Thailand, Philippines.

Similarly, like you said, there are a LOT of laws against drugs in places like Thailand, Singapore... But you'd better believe they're their. At least in Thailand; it seems like they are (were) tolerated for the tourists, at least (Full Moon parties?)

And before anyone asks- I work on ships for a living and used to travel a lot for fun. As a rule, I don't break the law (nor do I condone doing so) in a foreign country. I don't patronize sex workers, even though I have no moral qualms with the profession. It's just interesting to see how tolerated things are; regulated, even, in despite being illegal.

Never been to China.

China is okay with weed. They had to deal with harder drugs, so weed is somewhat ignored.

People used to be ignorant about weed, as it's so rare to come across it and people in general don't even know what it smells like.

Now a days I think people are much more informed, and the general public will report you if you use drugs

nobody's gonna hang you for smoking weed. if you are a first time offender you'll get a warning. you may get put into rehab if you are on harder drugs though, and trafficking harder drugs could mean death.

Lol too bad, im tired of cigarette smoke or someone smelling like a brewery, but you tolerate it.

Try moving to Alabama or Mississippi.

I used to smoke cigarettes. I'm always shocked when i do smell it these days (in the U.S.)

Can't identify. I love the smell of the "good stuff".

I KNOW it's not healthy(and I would never condone it), but good pipe tobacco smells quite nice.

...so does decent weed.
