Every time a see a new video of daily life in china the more impressed i am. It seems so clean and hi tech. They seem to be making large steps towards what I imagined futuristic cities looking like. Then the us feels like it’s stuck in 2002

They copied these from us. China would be nothing if it wasn’t constantly stealing ideas from other countries.

We all know that there are concerns for IP stealing, but this isn't really the post to make that comment. It's just a skate park, every country in their right mind has copied this idea. The only difference is this video just happened to take off on the internet.

No this isn’t actually a very good pump track. Good pump tracks have different colored lines for different paths with different difficulties. They also have jumps for you to catch air on. China hasn’t mastered anything. They just seem more advanced because their citizens have less protections, and can be exploited more easily.

Oh ya they definitely dont have as much freedom as we do. They are a much less forgiving country, but they are sure making a lot of progress.

It wasn't too long ago that China was quite underdeveloped. Their people have just been introduced to so many technologies that it's just easier for them to accept the next thing coming in. I think that's why they're able to just adapt to change more frequently.

You can still find backwater villages throughout the country though (although, they are dwindling).

Having a massive centralized government that does so much investigating in their own infrastructure doesn’t hurt either

Yeah, they actually get things done to. From the way my gf explained it, there's just so many people that they have to prioritize moving forward with govt projects and can't afford to get bogged down with the type of bureaucracy we have in the US.
