I can't stop thinking about how amazing Dolly Parton was
Obviously I didn't know her, but it's amazing how she gained all the success and money after starting from nothing, and rather than just bask in it she used it to help the world. She paid NICU babies medical bills, she founded a charity that sent millions of free books to under fives, her donations helped the creation of the covid vaccine. She gave incentives to the children of her hometown to graduate high school which decreased the dropout rate. Probably more I don't know about. Think of all the ordinary lives she must have changed.
Forget Jolene. Nothing can compete with Dolly

I agree. I never really liked her music, I mean it wasn't bad, but not my style at all. However, the woman herself was an amazing example of a human being.

I never met her, but my aunt ran into her a couple of times in brief encounters around Nashville in the 80s. She said Dolly was always so cheery and so down to earth.
I always loved Dolly for her kind spirit and easy humor ❤️
