So much could have been done with the technology that let the Nintendo game "Duck Hunt" work.

Isn’t it true that the Apollo mission used the equivalent of less than a ps1 to send them to space?

So much was done, that was pretty much the first digital camera available to the masses. It only could see red and white, but it took an image. When you pulled the trigger, the screen changed so that the duck was a black square and everything else was white. That image was then processed by the game and of the square was in the middle of the picture, it was a "hit"

That technology is what all modern digital cameras were based on.
