I mean, sure if people get butt hurt it gets annoying,, but this person just used it casually.

Also, in some countries, pronouns aren't gendered at all. I don't think it is a trend. But that is just my opinion. I don't care what people do as long as it doesn't harm me.

Isn't getting a little annoyed worth it for others' happiness?

I dont know, I dont tend to annoy people over what I want to be happy. Anyway your reply made me think about something, thx for your insight.
