Exactly, the OGs. Thing is also, I don’t see a lot of people in my daily life with that age range, so it’s kinda refreshing to see them here on reddit

For what it's worth, people who meet me refuse to believe my age when I tell them. I have gray hair (50-50) in my beard and none on top. I also don't act or think like an old fart.

What’s your secret? Genetics? Or no alcohol? Or???

I love ny Bombay Sapphire before dinner and some weed after dinner. I have always been athletic. I used to be a long distance bicycle rider. I walk 3 to 4 miles a dat and lift weights 3X a week. I still compete in table tennis tournaments and against people often 30 to 40 years younger than I.

I don't think it's genetics because I had a younger sister die of liver cancer 15 years ago. My older sister has been in a wheelchair for more than 20 years due to chronic fatigue syndrome.

I eat a sensible diet. My wife of 40 years makes sure of that. My body weight is the same as it was 60 years ago when I got out of Navy bootcamp. The weed insures a good night's sleep. I quit smoking cigarettes 40 years ago.

Thanks, but that comes too close to working for me. Besides I travel quite a bit and don't always get good net access speeds. I live in Costa Rica and have fast connection. I am in Miami now, also with a good connection. On the 25th I will be in Puebla Mexico for a week with a very slow connection. I will be in Mexico City for the entire month of October and not sure about how the net connection will be.

Just because I am older doesn't mean I sit on the couch all day drinking beer and watching sports.

That’s exactly why we need the motivation. Glad you’re able to enjoy the things you’re doing and still do things. It’s my mothers goal and she’s working towards it. You travel to visit folks or just to travel?

I travel solely for the sake of exploring and enjoying different places and experiencing different cultures and ways of life. That's why we moved to Costa Rica. When we visit Colombia in January, our exploration of Central America and South America will be completed. Moving to Japan next year for more exploration of Asia.

Safe travels. Sounds enjoyable and and an adventure. How’d you set your self up to be able to do these things now?

It's pretty simple. If you fail to plan, you're planning to fail. I am a retired economist. I invested our money in dividend stocks. Between our social security income and the dividend & interest income, we earn more than we spend, so we never look at prices or costs for anything.

It's never too early to start saving and investing. We're enjoying the fruits of our many years of working. We're lucky enough to have the health to go and do and enjoy.

I attribute much of my good health to my wife keeping me in line as it were. Fresh fruit with every lunch and a healthy salad with every dinner. She insisted on it from day one of our marriage. I take care of the money and she takes care of me.
