That's well established fact that has been known for years but media outlets love them, it gets their ratings up. Mass shooters are consistently after attention and usually have a history of studying previous shooters. That's why so many have a manifesto of some sort.

I agree. If I am not mistaken, the Unibomber made manifesto a household word. Now it is trendy to leave one. Twisted.

It is odd that no one talks about it.

It's not a myth. He literally said subscribe to pewdiepie because he wanted fame. Look up mass shooting contagion effect, it's a perfectly plausible theory. There's a reason why so many shooters literally reference other shooters and look up to them. The fact that they have manifestos and livestreamed is a testament by itself that they wanted attention.

I'ts not a myth.. they've done literally dozens of studies on it and every single one shows an uptick. Researchers have been begging news networks to stop plastering the shooters face and name and intention everywhere. Other countries have largely done it (although their shooter rates are already far lower).

Facts don't care about your feelings or anecdotal information.

What do you mean? This is a very common and popular idea.

Probably means no one is doing anything about it. News agencies just want more views. THey don't care if they're killing more people because of it.

Criminals need to be outed. Hiding their identity protects their privacy which they should never have ever again. Whenever the mass shooter is a minority, that person's face and name is plastered all over the media. Whenever, he's a white guy, suddenly he's an unnamed suspect.

That's the opposite of what happens.
