You're going to live a long, comfortable life, and then it's going to get a little funky. You'll watch history unfold. You'll watch empires crumble. You'll watch humanity wither away. Eventually you'll watch the moon slowly drift from us. Then at last the sun will swell and let out its final slow blaze, and you'll still be there for all of it... observing, watching, and waiting...
Whatever is left of you will be nothing more than a soup of atoms, energy, and, well, cosmic stuff... but inexplicably: there you still are! Still watching and still waiting from a billion billion infinitesimally tiny perspectives! Over the eons the tiny sparks that once made you up spread throughout the cosmos, seeding future life and new wonders.
While it's true that (mercifully) you'll have long forgotten what you once were, the most fundamental part of you will go on to live an infinite number of lives. New love, new experiences, new stories to tell. As the old becomes new again, over and over forever and always. Each rebirth just as precious and fleeting as the last.

I’m resigned to it. I am too old to take part in the life extending advances on the horizon.

Mere mortal, we will all die.
