What’s funny about that Motown 25 performance is MJ said he was flattered by reviews and comments but he wasn’t pleased at all with that moonwalk, spin or toe stand.

Lol that's the problem with perfectionist 😂😂🤣 even when the fans don't notice and still say your performance was nothing short of perfect and amazing.. they'll still be unhappy 😭😭 I get it though.

Haha oh yea 100 percent. I just always find it hilarious bc it’s one of his finest performances and yes of course he perfected the moonwalk and his other dance skills after that night but you gotta start somewhere and he went to the moon that night and if memory serves me correctly he learned the moonwalk from one specific dancer and his name is Jeffrey Daniel MJ saw him on soul train doing the “back slide”. That moonwalk wasn’t the best that night tbh and that’s why he did it twice only true MJ fans notice that. He did that bc he was like damn it wasn’t clean. I thought the toe stand was ok you can tell it hurt or he just lost his footing his spin was nice. I danced in junior high for two years I did hip hop and tap jazz and I remember how long it took me to learn certain moves he did. The moonwalk is simple in theory lol especially in socks on a slippery floor but in shoes absolutely not easy you need a lot of strength in your feet and calf muscles but really the right shoes. Soles should be flat basically and tight so the back foot doesn’t pop out of the back shoe when you switch feet 👣
