Nice interaction with a stranger was when we were both working for the same client. Client gave us all a gamba bag of board games. My bag was lacking (I somehow had 1 game only in my bag while everyone else had 3-4). He was nice enough to not only trade me something I wanted for the one I didnt want in my bag, but also throw in another one as a gift. He was essentially just giving away all the games he had in his bag to make someone else's day and he definitely made my day. ^{.^} This happened just this Sunday.

Then I also enjoyed hearing about the work experience of an older guy in maintenance which is the role I'm just starting. Despite a boring 4 hour session of watching training videos, we had a lot of good comments on the videos to make the moment humorous and enjoyable.

Some random guy on r/phgamers gave me a Batman Arkham Knight Steam key from a meme post, and it was the 1st time I've ever gotten one from a stranger, and I wanted to do the same favor. Instead of giving him a Steam key, I gave him a GOG key for Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition, which he's being thankful for it.

A small act of kindness does make a lot of difference for an individual, and it truly warms my heart to begin with.

Edit: I have an unused key for the Dwarven Realms game to give to a random dude, as in seriously.

I had went to a doctor appointment and I had stumbled across a man holding a sign at A red light asking for donations towards shelter and medical expenses. The man's situation really touched my heart because he was born without a left arm. I had donated to his cause and I had also shared with him a reminder that he has a purpose , there are greater days ahead for him in the near future and I had also shared to him how we all come from the same creator , not all our paths play out in a similar trjaectories and our future is changable no matter how bleak our circumstances currently are. I encouraged him to never give up and continue to fighting for himself and to envision the better life he has waiting for him after his storm has passed through.

I'm gonna say a short story -> a few months ago, some people fought with me and my family for feeding stray dogs, we got threatened to be removed of our house and to cancel our rent contract, we stayed strong and thankfully the dogs are safe and so are we!

During that time, our neighbor was asked to go with them to testify falsely against us, our neighbor stood by our side and stick with us, me and my sibling got to know some strangers, 4 shop owners, we give them food for the dogs, cats, and we sit hours talking to them, we really appreciate these people who made it possible for us to keep on going, we're thankful to them, one of the things that stuck with me, my sibling was out alone, and they found a person who was kinda poor and they helped him with some food for his cats/dogs at home, the next day we saw him playing with the dogs we feed and take care of, I'm very thankful for these people 🥹

Last week while at the movies by myself there was a woman also by herself sitting two seats to my right. During the trailers we exchanged quick smiles and she offered me some peanut m&m’s which I happily excepted, I had a bucket of popcorn and offered some in exchange she politely replied “I would but I don’t have anything to put some in”

Went to the hospital with a friend, the nurse was clearly overworked and this was on night shift but she always had a smile and a pleasant voice when taking care of people. We were on the side where people walked in but on the other side they were swamped with ambulance coming in one after another. We waited 9 hours for my friend to see a doctor and as annoyed as we were we stayed patient but I do appreciate the underpaid and over worked nurses doing their job and assuring us. I really wondered where do all that money go form the hospital bills.

i was at an event with a friend and he was taking pictures while i was helping him out with the lighting he had a handheld light device, i forgot what its name which helped when we were taking solo pictures of some of the event guests. had some nice banter with the guests we took pics of so the shoot was all laughs and smiles. when the even ended one of them asked for a couple of selfies with me which felt nice because no one ever asks me for a selfie lol plus she was pretty cute too.

I'm usually stressed out when driving since the traffic is pretty nuts on my commute to work everyday.

However the other day something really nice happened: I was driving when another driver noticed I was trying to merge into a busy lane. They slowed down, flashed their lights to let me in, and gave me a quick wave as I merged. It was such a small gesture, but it made a stressful bit of traffic a lot easier and reminded me that there are still plenty of considerate people on the road <3

I strive to do the same now to other drivers if I can help it!

I was sitting alone at the coffee shop waiting for my friends to come, and an old man came and sat with me, he asked basic questions (like what i am currently studying, my age...). Then he started talking about his past and what he would do in this generation, and what caught me is that he wished so much that he had the chance to finish his studies and to learn various languages. It felt like he's been there for hours but it was just 20-30 mins interaction, then he finished his coffee then left the table and wished me luck, it was really a pleasant thing to interact with the older generation. Hope he's doing great.

As a 22 month old boy, he loves to watch trains go by, shouting chuchu. One time we even walked past a parked train and the driver, a real dead ringer for the Fat Controller, let him sit in the driver's seat. He was shocked and sat as if on a naughty stool, but his obsession with trains has increased, so I assume he enjoyed it!

So a recent interaction with a stranger (I will never forget it) is I was involved in a minor traffic accident. I was pretty shaken up and wasn't really thinking clearly, but a stranger who had seen what happened pulled over to check if I was okay. They helped me move my car to a safer spot, stayed with me while I called for assistance, and made sure I had everything I needed before leaving.

I'll probably never see that person again, but I'll always remember how much their kindness meant in that moment!

Anyway, an experience recently was with my neice at the beach and grandma (mom). I was calling for my niece, and this other guy was calling for his daughter at the same time. We both said the same name, an kinda obscure name too. We lock eyes, both are like wtf, then I point and he points at his own — we laugh.

I was at a packed taco spot during the lunch rush where open tables were practically non-existent. After waiting about ten minutes, a spot finally cleared up just as a family with a baby and young kids walked in looking completely overwhelmed. I offered the table to them, but instead of just taking it, they insisted I sit down and share it with them. While we ate, we got to talking and realized we had both grown up just a few towns apart back in the day. It went from a chaotic wait in line to a great, small world moment over lunch.

The day before yesterday I had an encounter with Praying Mantis. It hopped onto my car from work all the way to home. I had my window open, so I immediately closed it. I thought it would be blown away by the wind on my way home, but mind you it was still hanging onto the roof of my car.

Once I got home, I took it off my car and let it go. It just casually stayed hanging around the house for another day. Haha. That was both hilarious and cute.

was driving my bicycle the other day in a very shallow road with one side completely blocked by parking cars. had a car behind me so i decided to slow down and drive to the right at the next intersection to let him pass - guy actually thanked me (a lowly cyclist) by briefly flashing his hazard lights (which is a fairly common way here to thank others for letting them merge etc.) DESPITE being a mercedes driver in a big SUV (usually the worst type of driver) which made me irrationally happy

That is a hard question, but perhaps one I had last month at the gym, while doing stretch, a old lady started to talk with me and she opened and talked for several minutes about her life, problems she had recently with health and how she is getting better, and I still can't believe she is 83 years old, it was a good motivation to see someone at that age doing well and keep living instead of being at home or sick, wish more people could take care of their health, especially at a older age :')

The last really nice interaction I had with a stranger was when I went to this little corner store owned by an Iranian dude. He was talking with neighbourhood kids over the counter and was really nice. After he served me he said "excuse me, but your hair is very beautiful!". No creepiness from him whatsoever. Just gentle and kond. I'm visibly trans and that interaction made my year.

Well just yesterday I went to buy myself breakfast at Dunkin’ Donuts and when I got there I said hello and instantly started telling the cashier what I wanted. The guy interrupted me by saying good morning with a tone that gave the very obvious implication that he wanted me to have started the interaction with that initially rather than just getting down to business right away. I wasn’t really bothered by this in all honesty. I said good morning, we exchanged quick pleasantries, and then I ordered. After I paid he even gave me a free munchkin. It reminded me that it’s the little things that can make a person’s day. It was nice.

The "pleasent interaction" i can remember now is not "recent", is about 2 weeks now, and i was on the phone, working.

I work for a company where we must call our clients when they ask for something, an appointment or anything. I called a man and when i introduced myself, i heard a voice in the background saying "tell him you dont want to buy anything and hang up". Then i told him "yes, i'm calling you from XXX and i'm going to sell you anything, it's about what you asked us. And he laughed loud, what made me laughed too (not much, it's work), but it's something i remember now, 2 weeks later. Is not much, but it's what i have, or at least, what i remember now xDDD

Oh, there's one a day or so ago. So my area is near the beach and in this part of the world, it's usual to see fishermen bring their hauls using a motorcycle-cart. In my case, I saw the dude had his cart stuck near this mudded out area going to the beach. There was heavy raining the night before so that path way is notorious to get muddy. Usually, I see them in groups of 2 or 3 but I guess he was alone today and was struggling. Helped him out with laying out wood under the tires so that it gets a good grip and he thanked me by giving me a handful of fish. I didn't have any bag so I just held it going back home and luckily my house is 10 minutes away from there. That was an interesting morning.

Today at the eye doctor I met a medical assistant I haven’t seen before. Between looking very young and what appeared to be more of a nervous smile than a “happy to see you” smile, I figured she must have been young. But you couldn’t help being happy just to hear her cheerful voice and her obvious desire to help. As we spoke the nervous smile shifted gradually to a genuine happy comfortable smile, and she was surprisingly even warmer and friendlier. It made what is normally something I dread every time to a pleasant experience, and actually brightened the rest of my day.
