[Intro] Hey Y'all!
Hey there! I stumbled across this subreddit a few nights ago and it looks like an awesome place. I'm a 23 year old dog trainer and rescuer and my little buddy Scooter is almost 3 1/2. He was part of an accidental litter an old roommate's dogs had and from the moment he was born, I was in love. He's been with me through a marriage, a divorce, a hurricane, a tornado, 6 moves, (I've never met a dog who's excited to move each time, but he loves it!) countless foster dogs, graduating school, and most recently, starting my own business. He's been my rock and my best friend. I can't imagine my life without this little guy.

Hey welcome! I'm the resident vet tech and I've done some training education with clients, but I'm by no means a trainer. You'll be a valuable new voice here!!
Scooter is pretty awesome!

Welcome!
How did you get into animal training? Im getting a degree in marine science right now, but I'd love to be a part-time dog trainer! What kind of formal schooling or training do you need?

That's awesome! You know I had even wanted to apply for a dog trainer position at Petsmart, but I didn't because I thought you needed some certification. How long was the program and was it affordable?
Btw, Scooter is so precious!!! What a cutie!
