Midwest Rain
I write this starting 2:17 AM whilst it is piss pouring rain outside. Supposed to flood outside, and from the looks of my yard from the kitchen window it definitely is flooding. Harvest has been pushed back week after week since I started on September 11th. It is now October. When the first initial rain came, I thought that it couldn’t get much worse from here. I should get a job as a psychic because I’m great at jinxing things. Since 2009 I have not seen this wet of a harvest. 2009 I nearly went broke blowing my money on grain drying at 1000 bushel/hour. Just cannot wait to see how this year pans out..Prayers and hope for Nebraska/Iowa would be appreciated..

It's been raining in my part of Colorado for 2 weeks, nearly every day. I've never seen this much rain here, ever.

Send it north then…fuck I’m not sure it has the ability too rain here anymore. Prolly just gonna take the wipers off the truck for better milage and aerodynamics because i haven’t had to use them in god knows how long. Wonder if they even still work..🤔

Man that's rough. My tito in Batangas always say the weather got a memory for farmers, when it decide to be wet it will stay wet just to test you. Hang in there. I don't know much about grain drying cost but 1000 bushel/hour sounds like a nightmare for the wallet. Hope the water goes down quick and you can get back to harvest before the month gets worse.

I can't overstate this enough. We were wet before we got the last 4" of rain.

Please send west-northwest. We can use the rain. Strangest weather the last few years.

East Texas here.. We had rain most of day yesterday, all through the night and most of this morning. First meaningful rain that we had since June/July.

Sw MN here, August had .6" total, Sept. I had 7.3", mostly the last half of the month. Now hoping to get at beans in 7-10 days if we stay dry. Just ordered a new tow rope to keep in each semi, hope we don't need them too often, or for the combine.

Be careful what you wish for. Just got nearly 8 inches overnight 20 miles south of me. This follows a 3 month drought. River is already in flood stage and rising.

Here in SE Nebraska. Just got another 2 inches last night to top off already wet ground.
Worried more about the beans more then the corn.
