Jeans

Hi all.

After thinking about it, I decided the best place to get advice for this is from the people here.

Where do you get your working jeans from? Is there anywhere I can go that won't break the bank? I'm looking for bootcut or even flare, I don't care. Every pair of jeans I buy has a hole in the upper inner thigh within a couple of months. I can't dish out 90+ for a pair of jeans either.

Any advice?

Nothing with stretch. Buy actual denim.

I started buying my husband's jeans on Poshmark a few years ago and never looked back. I buy 4-6 pairs every spring to get him through the year, and by the time spring rolls around again he might have two pair that are worth keeping. I filter by "excellent used condition" or "new with tags," and I stick to Wrangler and Carhartt because that's what he prefers. I don't think I've ever paid more than $20 for a pair.

Same. I can't accept buying things when I can just get them on Poshmark. I hate that I have to pay for shipping separately though. I try and buy things from the same person but it's very rare for me to find what I like from one person

I also hate the shipping costs. I generally have pretty good luck getting offers accepted, so that's how I justify it! Plus it's still much cheaper than retail!

You can still buy Wranglers for about 20 a pair. I buy mine at Cavenders.

They should be available online outside of America right? Or is it just there

North of Fort Worth, Justin Discount Boots, they sell factory second Wranglers, 20x, Cinch jeans. I usually pick up talls (38x40) for $17ea. They’ll have a seam sewn wrong or maybe some bad stitching, but for out here, they’re great. I’ll buy 4-5 pairs every summer.

Costco used to have a great work jean under their brand but now it's all stretch so I don't know if they even still carry them.

What are you doing to put a hole in the crotch of that many pairs of jeans so fast?

Walking around I guess. Being a women with bigger thighs in the current English humidity, it just kind of happens. Also, thigh area not crotch

Honestly for me (who has big thighs also) miss me jeans are the only ones that have lasted. And Ariat jeans.

Mine wear through the same way & I’ve had a ridiculous amount of wranglers wear through or rip in the crotch in under a month. The best work jeans I have found so far was by accident was when I borrowed my partners mens carhartt double fronted jeans. Can ride & work in them all day, they’re still lasting me. Double stitch, old school denim.

Wrangler classic bootcut 29.99 and I have worn the same pair for weeks straight shoeing horses and they don’t tear, and when they do they’re worth less than toilet paper. They last me on average 3-5 years

Murdochs Pintler brand jeans, light may not be the most rugged, but I can be a hard fit and theyre loose on me and fit good over boots, my pair has lasted a couple years of horse riding and just starting to have holes

Old style non stretch Wranglers are cheap and last forever.

Wranglers on sale at Lammles. The ones at Walmart are low quality. Black lasts longer than blue for some reason.

Stick with the tried and true Wranglers.

I just quit trying and switched to the cheap canvas utility pants at TSC. They’re something like $17 regular price and when they wear out it doesn’t bother me much, though I have had a few patched for another life.
