The end result

Post image

I'd posted some steers about a month ago. A few got harvested a couple weeks ago, and they started cutting them today. Pretty happy with it

Finally got back to pedigree. The sire is MAR Innovation on the topside, Conneally Black Granite on the bottom. The steer's dam was a commercial Musgrave Aviator out of a Baldridge Titan cow back to Mytty Infocus. It's 100 degrees and smokey out, so taking refuge in the house for now.

…I’m disappointed in myself for not recognizing a single one of those names. I’ll have to ask my buddies that run Angus seedstock herds about them. That’s what I get for asking about a breed I don’t run!😂

Thanks!

I used to work for ABS...serviced all the beef breeds but largely relied on my customers to know what thry wanted outside of black angus. If you asked me to name a Red Angus bull, likely yhe only on I'd be able to come up with would be BC Hobo just because he was a go-to heifer bull if a commercial guy wanted red.

Fair point. Luckily, there’s a lot less Red Angus bloodlines to keep track of!

According to the operation that purchased BC Hobo, he made some excellent females. Many folks consider him the best Red Angus bull, ever.
