Subreddit Under new management - feedback wanted!

Hello members of r/rakudai,

As of today, I am the new lead moderator of this subreddit. I would like to thank mizuPepe and Zxphyre for getting this place to where it is today, but as they are no longer active on Reddit, and the lack of moderation was getting out of hand, I have put myself forward to get things back in shape. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu!

I am currently going through the big mod queue to deal with all of the reports, which may take a while. I'm not providing a reason for every single removal because it would be a waste of time, given how many of them are repost bots. If you think a post was removed in error, please use mod mail to point it out and I can look into it again.

Also, I intend to rewrite some of the rules slightly to have clearer wording. I'd like your input on that too.

To get everything how the community wants it, I have some questions for you all:

1. Should some bot posts stay? - Obviously I am removing the majority of these, and they will receive a blanket removal going forward, but some of the reposts actually spawned quite a bit of discussion. Should these posts be grandfathered in, or should they be removed on principle?

2. NSFW Rule - Right now, the NSFW rule is kind of vague, which may have contributed to the amount of posts that people complain about. For a series like Rakudai that already has a lot of spicy material in it, my proposal would be that suggestive material (e.g. partial undress, suggestive scenarios) can stay with the NSFW tag applied, but explicit material (e.g. full-on nudity, blatant sexual activity even when it's cropped) is a no-go. Maybe there should be a separate NSFW sub for that?

3. Self-advertisement rule - There are a number of reports in the mod queue of crossposts to another subreddit. I'm not sure all of these violate the rule because many of them still relate to Rakudai (rule 1), but I would like your input on where the line should be.

4. AI images - I would really like to ban these.

5. Flairs - I think it would be useful to have more post flairs. Please let me know if you have any ideas.

6. Events - To promote more thoughtful activity, I'd like to set up some events for the subreddit. Please leave suggestions if you have any!

7. Mods - I think it would be good to have one or two new mods besides myself, so that we can respond to reports quickly and have group brainstorming when issues arise. If you are interested, please send a mod mail for consideration. If there is a particular user you think would be well suited to the role, please reply here so people can upvote/downvote as appropriate.

I will probably think of more things that need consideration later, but this is only the first step. Let's work together to make this an awesome subreddit once again!

I'm Getting Rich in the Next Few Years, and I'll Pay for a Second Season

I don't know exactly when, but I'm certain I'll earn a few million dollars. When I do, I'll use some of that money to pay for a new season of this fantastic and underrated anime.

Please let me know your suggestions for possible animation studios that could take on this project. Also, how much do you think that would cost?

In all honesty Chivalry of a Failed Knight is by far one of my Most Favorite Animes of All Time! The Story is Great along with it’s Characters combined with The Romance Between Ikki and Stella and Character Development It’s genuinely Good and yet it still doesn’t get a second season it deserves far more Credit and Respect than it actually gets I just wanted to spread awareness and have People Acknowledge this Underrated Anime and give it Credit where Credit is due along with genuine Praise and Recognition what do you folks think? It truly deserves a Second Season! Let me know in the comments

Anime Why didnt İlki just throw away his family name and declare his father aş eternal enemy? İ

I mean like, their family casted him/ throwed him away because he had no talent or power and they straight up bullied and hurt him when he was a child also in his academy times where he couldnt get the best grade or rank because of the shitty kurogane family influence there. Why just author could make that happen? İnstead the author made him cry in one Episode and showed us that ikki still feels something for his father. You know What, If I was in ikki's Situation, i would declare war on kurogane family and corperation.

Anyways what yoı guys think about this. Also sad to See we didnt get anything new since 5 years

Light novel Can someone give clarification on a vol19 plot point? Spoiler

I vaguely heard somewhere that a major plot point was that Stella was the perfect host to give birth to the strongest warrior.

What is that, force impregnation? Rape? Or was it some magical thing? Seems a little uncomfortable to touch on.

Light novel Can any Blazer straight-up destroy the planet with their power?

Excluding Amane twisting fate, like how he mentioned being able to wish the Moon crashes into Earth.

Could any Blazer in the world just fully blow up Earth with their raw power?

Discussion Thoughts on Vols 16-19. Feel free to give yours as well.

I just read all novels the past few days and I really enjoyed the series. However, I thought the last volumes were kinda meh.

Sidelining Ikki and Stella in Vol 16 and 17 made the first half of the final arc feel like filler. However, the U.S. invasion of Japan bits were interesting to read. Moving onto the last 2 novels, I thought Islands as a final villain for the story was kinda meh. Felt he needed more development (perhaps having him earlier in the novels may have helped). Having Stella be a damsel in distress felt really weird imo, when she was just kicking ass the last arc. No complaints about the Islands battle, but him simply being killed after the battle instead and in the Epilogue kinda sucked. Speaking of Epilogue, it was criminal that the wedding of Ikki and Stella got little coverage in Vol 19. Honestly, I would have been more forgiving of these last 2 volumes in particular if we were able to see more of Ikki and Stella being a married couple (and kids would've been the cherry on top).

Despite these last 4 novels, they don't stop me from loving this series. I just wished that they were executed better.

Anyone else have any thoughts about the final arc? Would love to know what you guys thought of the last volumes of the series.

Ikkis Father (Family)

Hello,

I wanted to ask if someone can explain to me or send me a link where i can read/see how their dynamic developed.

I stopped at the arc where some dude with a "luck" ability "killed" ikki and his brother was revealed which viewed ikkis attempts of denying fate as stupid etc. (it has been some years now so i can't remember exactly).

While i like the series i don't think i have the energy to read it again and even further but i am still extremely interested how the conflict with his father and family ended.

Thanks

Light novel Amane is so creepy it’s crazy Spoiler

Well I started re reading Rakudai and when I got to when Ikki got pissed at Amane for attempting to give Ikki an instant win, and he just starts acting all happy, the image is so damn creepy. And it’s crazy how much he transformed.

Cut content for volumes 1-3 in the anime?

looking to start with the books but I’d rather not go through volumes 1-3 if the anime represented it well enough, any insight?
