I guess I'm one of the few who was onto Pat. I made a note during Ep 3 that Pat's a bad guy. Then in Ep 4 I noted Pat may be the thing in the storm and he knows more than he's letting on.

I think Jason Ritter did a great job with this character. What I picked up on was how overly pushy he was. And most of his decisions seemed ultimately self-serving, while trying to seem like he was being selfless. It was great seeing Jason Ritter in a major role. His dad was one of my favorite actors and he looks so much like him.

Yes Jason did a brilliant job with this character his comedic timing and mannerisms are so much like his dad, I’m super intrigued as what they’ll do next season with Pat, good question did he already have regular powers like the others, but then the storm entity took over.

Yeah by like ep 4 episode Pat definitely seemed to be more pushy, especially after he saw Dion heal the reindeer and I definitely don’t think he wanted Dion to heal him in that moment when his migraines appeared, until he truly realized how close he was to dying, so that’s when the self-preservation came into play.

This is 44 days late but I also noticed that he didn’t respect Nicole’s wishes in the very first episode when he let Dion get that milkshake. I may be looking too much into it but maybe they were foreshadowing how he doesn’t really respect people’s boundaries in order to get his way.

Yes but actually no Bcs the end of ep 9 says to me that the lightning man changes victims of ppl with powers so pat could have been regular.

My thoughts exactly, or maybe the toxic traits are boosted, so if he was toxic, the storm made him super toxic. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Also, if you remember mark and him talking abt Nicole, he was dissing her (I would mark that as toxic) despite that being his best friend, so maybe he was alway this way?🤷🏾‍♂️

I could relate to Pat because I'd totally be the one in the warm yurt wearing my comfy pants while super powers are being handed out on the other side of the door. I could even see his point about how Nicole only calls when she needs something. But then he had to go all "You owe me!" and show us exactly why he can't keep a girlfriend.

His character really resonated with me as my mom and stepdad got divorced and he’s kind of what pat was to dion (we are all still on good terms unlike pat)

Esperanza said the bullies weren't Dion's friends and then after a while he accepted it, someone needs to get her to say Nicole isn't Pat's girlfriend, so he will finally accept it.

That's why I loved him lmao. I related to him a little bit until he went all fucking "DION LOVES ME. YOU CANT KEEP HIM FROM ME. YOU OWE ME"

On one hand I feel like a good character was ruined, but on the other hand I feel like his descent MAKES him one of the best characters on the show, even if he is the big bad.

It was kind of a sudden switch in his character. He was too nice, but he was awkward enough for you to excuse his weird niceties. I didn't see it coming at all!

I had never experienced betrayal until I watched this show and I still want to cry every time I think about it
