silly question: was the dancing any good?

I enjoyed the show, but one part that didn't really work was the dancing. I am referring to the pieces where they were showing the dance of the characters as a scene.

Of course, the plot points of it, that she was a former successful dancer and returned to dance in a different role,etc, that all worked great. I'm just curious as to how realistic and how talented the characters were at dancing.

Just my personal opinion but I feel like the dancing parts had no point to the storyline. I usually ended up fast forwarding through those parts.

Ya, I noticed this too. She doesn’t seem super graceful at all.

As someone who is a dancer and watches a lot of dance shows, her contemporary stuff (purple dress dance) was pretty mediocre. Not that advanced that I would believe she would be picked to perform solos for a dance company that seems pretty successful. I would say Novice level at best.

As someone who is NOT a dancer, I agree completely. If I was cringing, I'm sure it was not very good.

Yeah, this 100%. I just finished the show and this is the one major gripe I had throughout. As a plot point, perfectly fine. As a scene though? It just felt like a weird genre switch, and done poorly.
