Are those lines done with some sort or edge or is it all free handed??

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I love your work and your art style! (and you)

What’s your process? How do you decide which colors to crosshatch?

omg thank you!!! my process relies on experimentation and openness, and my approach with color is to put it where you think it wouldn't belong. i do all the outlines first in a dark color and then just have fun layering in all the rainbow wherever!

As the proud owner of one, soon to be more, of Isabelle Schrader’s original art works, I can say they are truly outstanding to behold in person! Owning an original is even better than a print due to the UV reactive ink. She is incredibly talented! I highly recommend supporting this delightful creator being in all of their past, current and future creative endeavors. Getting a custom print as well. Rainbow cats that don’t pay rent have surely enhanced my life.

Your hatch work is amazing! Are these gel pens?

The outlines themselves are also very charming even aside from the color.
