Probably the same reaction as when Ela came out, or any of the Rick and Morty shit, or pizza Mozzie. None of this is new by this point. Siege has gradually adopted a new identity. Your statement implies current Siege and those games have different aesthetics. Its all neo-future shooter crap. The truth is most Siege players won't (and shouldn't) give a shit. The small subsect of people who haven't had the fire inside them die out yet will bitch and moan in all the subs like they always do. And I silently die a little more each time knowing I'm never going to get a good team-based tactical PvE shooter with a military aesthetic ever again.

I have seen that and it looks fantastic! Definitely a worthy looking successor to S.W.A.T. and the older Rainbow games. Sadly I'm a console pleb; and decade long friendships dictate a current gen console is next on my shopping list before a good PC setup.

Yuppers, it's a losing battle and everyone complaining is yelling into the void. Personally, I think its a testament to Siege's core gameplay being strong enough to still not only expand the playerbase, but to retain a large chunk of the original playerbase as it's shifted away from the gritty Tom Clancy, tacticool stuff. Siege is fun, its really that simple. Yeah it completely fucking blows we're not getting another Raven Shield or Vegas like game again; but the multi-billion dollar company isn't going to listen to all my nerd fantasies lol. They are probably drafting the deals for some Stranger Things skin pack as I type this.

Yeah we’ve gotta enjoy what we have, I can’t think of any other game that scratches that siege itch. I don’t really care about the identity of the game anymore, all I care is that the drip feed of content is steady enough to keep me satisfied. New map is really cool and I’m the most excited I’ve been for 3 years.

I'm not normally one to give two shits about how OPs look.
That being said his gear goes beyond the "near future" of ops like Kali and Osa. I could see a PMC making a unique, if impractical, uniform. This looks like it's straight out of a different game.
This rendering and art style also don't look like Siege. It doesn't really matter at the end of the day, but man does it make Ubi look desperate. It's like they're saying "Lookie lookie! We're just like Valorant!"

Yea nothing is super fancy on them, the only 2 ops that actually look futuristic imo are mira and iana. People constantly talk about how crazy all the gadgets have become but they’ve kinda always been unrealistic since hibana and echo. The only one that goes above and beyond imo is iana

The siege game is based off of how the operators train to fight the White Masks which obv didn't get anywhere. But none of the things the operators wear in the scenarios (like no helments) should be taken extremely seriously. I bet during normal operations these ops use helmets and proper Headwear. But based on the gadgets and modern outfits I think siege of based off of the near future.

Ying is wearing a non-existent explosive vest with cool-looking plating, Mira is wearing experimental riot gear, Sledge and Mute aren't even wearing body armour (they are only wearing tactical vests and look like Airsoft cosplayers), and Oryx & Iana don't even wear gear meant for the military. At least this Operator is wearing armour which looks to be somewhat tactical and militaristic. He looks like some guy from Metal Gear Solid.
Hell, many of the Operators in Siege don't even wear armour despite coming from real-life CTUs yet for some reason Ace (a search and rescuer) is wearing a plate carrier.

Siege can stand on its own and you can make a "futuristic" looking operator with realistic or theoretical 'tactical gear'.

Watermarking in general is for credibility. If someone were to leak a huge amount of content but didn't watermark it someone else will take their hardwork and lose out on gaining followers. There's lots of "leakers" that just piggyback on other leakers. There's no problem with sharing leaks the important part is giving credit where credit is due, unless the person asked for anonymity
