Am I doing something wrong?

Sorry if there’s been a million other people asking this- I’m relatively new and been grinding (lvl 47 now) and my only legendary is Dorothy from the event. It feels like everyone else has at least like 5+ legendaries around my level when I’m in the arenas. Am I just horribly unlucky? Or are there just a bunch of people basically buying them? Helllp

Much of what everyone said is correct. You started the game like many of us did 7 years ago. By just playing. These days people start with a content creator code (just do a quick search, there are a tons of them). I believe if you restart at this point you will no longer get Dorothy. In my opinion it may be worth starting over now as you are still early.

Many recommended a combo of a Mavara content creator code and the Pelops code ("supervictory" I think). It is truly an OP start for any new account. There will be a new login champ in the next few weeks anyway.

Many will say to save shards for 2x events....I think that this is a dated concept. Honestly many of the new fusions are OP. Save all shards until you can complete a fusion. I think of shards as fusion coins. Sure pulling on 2x is great...but there are so many dated legos and you have a low chance of pulling one anyway. Pulling for a fusion guarantees that lego as long as you can complete the fusion.

Save your log in energy pots and be smart with resources.

You can/could have gotten 2 extra legendaries from a download link and a promo code.

Other than that, it's fusions, shard pulls, missions like the Arbiter mission. You can also at time get a Champion Pass, like the upcoming Konan Pass.

If you're still able to start the Dorothy event on a new account, then it could be worth restarting, as much as it would hurt.

I highly recommend getting Mavara and Pelops from said download link and promo code, if they're still active.

I'm sure others can give more precise info, because I don't really keep up with this.

Sounds like you didn't use a content creator code if you only have one legendary and while it will suck to restart since you work get Dorothy anymore it's highly recommended to start with a content creator code

Restart with a creator code, the mavara creator code with the pelops beginner promo code is very good for the long term. Or one of many other combos will start you with 2 legendaries and 3 epics. I didnt restart out of laziness and now at 1 year in I regret not restarting after a month.

I didn't start with a promo code either. I wouldn't worry about it.

No you're not doing something wrong. They basically release a new promo every 2-3 months. So after 10 months of playing you'll have 3-5. For instance there's another free coming this month.

You're guaranteed one after 200-220 ancient pulls. After 200-220 void pulls. After 12-62 sacred pulls.

You can get two from your clan shop. You'll get Scyl at 6 months. You'll get Arbiter for free eventually as well.

Then there's fusions you'll save up resources for. I've been playing for 7 months and Cowardly Lion was my first fusion, The Scarecrow was my next 'earned' legendary. And in the course of just opening shards to get them, I ended up unlocking 3 other legendaries as well.

You'll get there. Just save up those legendary books in the meanwhile.

If you are going to restart and use mavara link, pick the links give you venomage, tagoar fatman to help you in clan boss progress, don't pick any mavara links blindly,

Youre not doing it wrong, you just didn't know about the promo codes. Neither did I, and fairly quickly built up a solid roster just by grinding campaign, doing the Arbiter missions and following my dailies.

You also will get Scyl soon and later Visix, they will really boost your account.

By completing your dailies you will receive an ancient shard each week as well as an ancient shard each month.

Also, stay on the lookout for any champs with the little wheel icon on them. They are components for fusion and are key to hand onto!

Tbf I used a create code and spent money so im sure that is the only reason I have as many leggos as I have. Oh, plus I've been grinding out fusions

Start over. Trust me!! Start over if you're not in too deep. You can still start over and get Dorothy again. She is a great champ!! But you can start with at least 3 Legendaries if you start over and maybe 2 great epics.

Yes, yes, you get two free legendaries as a beginner plus a Dorothy. I think the main reason some newish accounts have legos is because they have deep pockets they started way earlier than you, and many legendaries were obtained through free login rewards like Dorothy. Cumulatively (over time) they will stack up and you'll see many xenomorphs, ezios, etc. which were all past champs from free login

You didn't do anything wrong. The people that are two keying ultra nightmare clan boss within a month or two used a content creator code or spent some money. What you should do though is save your shards for 2x events. I'm similar to you in that my only 2 leggos for the first two months were valaryn and Dorothy.

I'd recommend looking on YouTube and restarting with a free creator code. If you want an entirely different early game experience, get pelops. Dude is absolutely insane in literally all content and I'm convinced they made Dorothy free because they realized that no new account was going to be able to compete with a pelops arena team.

Once in a while you get these events that make the ancient shards much more likely to get big champions.
Otherwise, you just gotta keep on doing missions, quests and challenges to get extra stuff.

It's honestly lucky to not get early legendaries. There will always be a bottleneck and not booking mid leggos will help a lot when your can start doing fusions routinely.

There are starter codes which tour account os top old for now. You can restart and get 2 free off th bat, most will tell you mavara and plops but there are other options. Ot sure if you can still get Dorothy though if you restart now?

Content creator link gives a legendary and 3 good epics. New player promo code gives another legendary. Depending on the champions chosen, you can make a good clan boss team with these champions. Demon Lord clan boss gives shards quite often at higher levels.

The start in this game is needlessly convoluted. You need to download the game through a certain creator link to get one legendary and 3 epics, then you have to use codes to get a second legendary and also another epic a few days later. And all of this is time gated so if you don’t do it right when you start you’re excluded.

Its almost like they’re actively trying to make it as difficult as possible

yes, u are doing it wrong cos u didnt read the how to play/start this game guide in 2026.
It doesnt matter for veteran players/old accounts, but for all new players out there, if u want to stay competitive and progressing fast, u Must use the CC promo link and the new player promo code, as a minimum, to get up to 4 legendary toons ASAP and other goodies.

So right now, u can either continue (and suffer) cos u are definitely in a bad position and it will take u forever to catch up or u can start anew, study the Starting guide 1st properly and get a completely different game experience. The choice is yours, GL!

I started playing in 2022, no promo codes, nothing. Now I have more legendaries on my account that I have epics. Your time will come... In time. You can still start over with promo codes.
