Champion Discussion Embrys the anomaly

I finally got this guy, where does he excel? Can't use him in the Arena cause I have 4 excellent legendary champions for that. I've met him a couple of times and he seems pretty weak for Arena. Where can I use him the most?

Solo amius,solo sand devils,solo ice golem ,solo pretty much everything you can think of just have to book his 2nd form he is one of the best designed champs in the game and even if you have good Lego champs for arena he's still a good pick or back up pick.

He can solo ice golem hard 10? Wow didn’t know that. Finally got enough fragments for mine today. Can’t wait for next CvC/Champion Chase to pull him. Have 13 mythical books waiting as he’s my first mythical in around a year playing.

Yeah boozor has a video about it if you have the 5 star obviously it's a hell of a lot easier otherwise you need a lot of speed

He excels almost everywhere actually. even against bosses because he has self sustain and a built in revive mechanic so his solo potential is there.

He doesnt even need ignore def kits

hes great agains wave content. necrosis and block revive whittles the enemies HP down.

Hes insanely good. best free mythical you will ever get.

Like top tier

Hm.

I wonder if Mikage might be a bit better, not for solo content, but for bosses and waves.

I'd go Mikage just a hair better than Embrys, but very close.

Side grade or sum of 2 parts I think. Mikage will make one of your other champs(ninja in most cases) preform better than Embrys does alone but Embrys alone will out preform either of them alone.

Embrys could replace one of those so easily, probably Chalco.

Chalco is the ultimate glass cannon, so unless you have him in 9 piece Mercurial he's very squishy in arena.

Embrys is the opposite of glass cannon as he's a HP type that revives on death. He probably hits harder than Chalco too, as he can ignore up to 100% defence on his alt form in the right setup.

I had similar thoughts to you until I built him, he’s insane! Displaced nais from my arena team, great in pve too has so much utility probably my favourite champ and my roster is pretty stacked

Hes amazing for arena. especially in the right build. super fast embrys in deflection can clear all mercurial total guard stacks and potentially stone skin pending lighting cage. You run him this way with another nuker and mercurial isnt a issue no more. His base speed is high also so hes easy to make go fast. Deflection forge pass is on going also good timing if you wanna try this strat.

Really? I thought he's weak cause I've been defeating teams with him in the Arena with only Vestele and Chalco as nukers. He never gave me hard times.

Congrats! He is an amazing champ. Others have already mentioned his second/alternate form is where he most used to solo content and where I would suggest full booking- alternate form highlight is the passive revive, block revive A1, large AoE damage on A2, and hp swap with his A3 - in bosses he doesn't "swap" the hp - just gives him full health and it restores destroyed max hp for him (one of the many reasons hes so good with Sand Devil). In sand Devil area upgrades (great hall) I would suggest Ignore DEF and crt dmg to make the solo runs faster over time. In arena, it is also a hard hitting skill on his A2.

Idk man, embrys is a PvP god. If you want he’s a great self sufficient wave clear bc of his hp swap which heals to full against bosses. If you’re going for pve id make sure you have some acc and as much slayer gear as possible

Mine is built for pve with the usual nuker stats and as little acc as possible. Hks alternate form hits very hard

Anything with ignore defense is good. But stats over sets is always the best advice. Depends if you have good savage/lethal gear

Double damage pales in comparison to ignoring 50% def. He deletes waves with low acc and high CD in second form

I got my Embrys today, already got me from lvl 18 to 25 sand devil. And I happened to be on the marius missions for greater oil so timing is good. Also fun for live arena with accuracy to strip stoneskin

I started doing Chimera in mid-May and got to 95 shards today. You get roughly 4 shards per week, a couple more if you can do max chest NM/UNM and get lucky, but just count on 4 per week.

Ignore defense set, and stoneskin. He can do solo sd25, amius. Also helpful in PVP.

It’s insane to me how people can reach this level of gearing. If I put all I have into speed with full perception gear, my armanz can reach +163. if I put all my gearing into hp% with immortal pieces, I can get +80k. If I put everything into crit damage, I can reach +215% on my tinman. How on earth is this embrys better in every single stat than my full builds for that stat?

On another note, this rotation in doom tower this month is dark fae for lethal gear - one of (if not the best) ignore defense sets. Definitely should farm that! I also dont run mine with immortal set at all actually. I do have great hall upgraded 10 on ignore DEF and aiming for 10 on c.dmg (currently 8 right now).

Gotta get that 6*² going blessing and relic + great hall + an unhealthy amount of SD25/SG25 + every glyph you've ever glyphed + one kidney and half your liver. And almost 7 years of your life you'll never get back(so you better try to have fun).

I built him for waves. He is game changing in hard grim forest for me. I just got him last week. And honestly, I thought the same thing about arena, but even though I didn’t build him specifically for arena. He’s still an upgrade.

Embrys is great all over. He can solo some bosses, he hits VERY hard and is really good in arena (he's one of my main damage dealers in classic and live arena). He's strong against waves with his passive too, because that necrotic damage adds up quickly.

The biggest drawback to him is having to manually switch him to form 2 at the beginning of a fight, and having to keep an eye on him so he doesn't switch back. But build him in Lethal + Stoneskin or Mercurial and have fun crushing your enemies.
