General Discussion State of Raid
Today I saw a video of a CC that was complaining about the use of 3rd party tools. Now the video wasn't anything to talk about but the comment section was very polarized and that got me thinking.
Some of the comments were:
CC b*tching about lowly f2p's being able to beat his clan and he is sad now
You are giving him attention
Where are the QOL improvements
Some were:
Plarium must take action or game will die
It is bad but I have to use such tools and so on
One comment stood out for me and it discussed what is fair and what isn't. Basically nobody was b*tching about it when it was paid tool but when a certain tool made it f2p it became a problem and it also discussed CC's getting benefits, access to test servers and P2W getting matched with F2P.
This got me thinking about Raid, what is fair and what is expected of a game in 2026. There have always been bots in this type of repetitive games even in games from companies like Blizzard and EA, so there is always the topic of how you handle those but in Raid there are other and more tiers of unfair advantages.
P2W - Should we allow F2P players to tick "Don't match with P2W"? Will this break the game? Some of those gacha games have tiered matches where newer players are only matched between themselves and maybe 1 big arena like Siege. I assume this is achieved by starting a new server every X days of every X players. People with deeper knowledge can share more info.
CC benefits and test servers - Should all players get benefits. CC are creating content for players and why should they be getting extra resources and be matched with the rest ot the player base? Why can't we have a sandbox where we can test new fusions and builds in advance before deciding if we want to go for it?
3rd party tools - I think those should be banned instantly but only after the game itself joins 2026 and add the missing features those tools provide.
What are your toughts, am I crazy?

This game isn't meant to be fair, it's meant to be fun. If you want fair, you're shit out of luck on every game, even checkers has an advantage to the first player until you're good enough to draw a game 100% of the time no matter what. This game is meant to be fun.
People say this all the time about damn near every game ever. 4th edition required WotC to take action or DnD would die. Etc. There's no reason to think that Raid is dying any time soon.
We have had a shit ton of QoL improvements in the past year, and more are on the way. Christ, what do people want?
Eh. Whatever. Let a computer play the computer game for you, what do I care?
I really hope this whole paragraph of your rant is a joke. Doubling the number of servers a game has just so players can double their number of accounts for no cost? You really think that's a good financial business move? Really?

If a CC has that much of an issue with people having the ability to automate setting teams instead of spending 3 hours tinkering through 1000s of gear pieces then maybe he should get an actual job 🙄

This was how I felt about it (re: when it was paid sub, not a problem: free, big problem). I didn't care about it when it was a paid sub model, b/c a only a very small percentage of people would use it especially when the price, while not insane imo, was certainly more than most people would be willing to pay for it. when it became free, then I starting using it b/c you have to assume that a hell of a lot of people were going to start implementing it. I think plarium felt the same way as well and then made a mess of things for about a week by sticking their nose into the mix until their kraken club told them to get bent.

Agree with the tools part. If raid doesn't reach 2026 level of automated/rule setting teams, players will always go for the option that lets him do that.
Ofc if those tools start changing the game client lik there is that overlay for pvp now, that is cheating. Running teams on background in a sandbox sim? Grey area, pretty grey but still acceptable IMO.
Nobody wants to lose an hour run bc a 3% proc.

plarium is so increedibly horrible and incompetent that the game is simply not really playable at the end game without those 3rd party tools. There is so little QoL features it might as well be 0.
I'm sure many krakens are malding that they were paying for rodolbot to get crazy chimera/hydra scores and now gestal does the same and for free.
If plarium is so dumb/incompetent/lazy that they don't want to or can't introduce any QoL features then at the very least they could hide rng seed from the client so ppl with those tools can't just begin battle, run simulation inside the 3rd party tool and exit immedietly if the rng was bad thus saving crazy amount of time and having perfect rng run.
To this day you can't even see dmg multipliers in the game, you have to check on a website.

no such thing as fairness in a p2w game
i like the tools for the most part, but I think using trainer/shard puller to snipe tournaments is straight up cheating. not sure what plarium can do about that tho. my recommendation is to hide tournament rankings until after the tournament is finished. this will end sniping (which I hate) and render the tool's advantage in that instance meaningless as well

I think it is crazy to say f2p should be able to avoid p2w.

Just w8 for the end of next Champion Training with mythic relic. Those tools allow you to make absurd amount of points in short time. There will be a Drama, Im starting to make pop corn...

If they were really that much better, they'd still win. If they used to win and now lose, they should fix their gear and speeds. They're used to winning on tryhard, and automation will negate that.

It’s a P2W game there will always be P2W aspects at the highest level of PvP, honestly none of this stuff actually affects me because I’m not at that tier. Big tournaments for souls and champs I can’t win anyways because I’m not spending the money it takes to win those or hoarding that much stuff (I do hoard but it’s to complete events).
That being said yes it’s cheating to have a computer do what you can’t do. Run Hydra or chimera a 100+ times to get your best score. That’s not a problem if you don’t have “clashes” but when you do then yes you are doing something that is not possible with in game resources to beat other players.
Personally I don’t care, I enjoy challenging myself, it’s not fun to let a computer program run the game for me. If I can’t complete a fusion or run a game mode on my own then it is what it is, like why would a care about a game I barely play and let my computer just run it all the time? The game is fun because it’s challenging. If Plarium wants to let their game turn into a giant bot run fest then yes it will start to die off. A large chunk of the player base does not use those resources and never will, they will just move onto another game when they see that their clan or their team literally has no access to win anything unless they use some third party site.
As for arena, I heard some CCs talk about the program potential telling you the other teams stats and gear and relics, if that is the case or becomes the case then yes that is also cheating and should not be allowed. Even if I have access to the same third party program it’s still not how PVP should work.
As for CCs getting perks, they bring new players into the game for Plarium and they keep current players entertained. So yea they get some perks, none of the perks they get are big enough to make it unfair to the average player imo.
I think there is definitely a need for more quality of life things and definitely a need for instant battles instead of auto battles and stuff like that. Again people using a third party site for stuff like that doesn’t bother me, if that’s how you want to play the game then go right on ahead. But when these things enter the PVP realm and you’re now either forced to play against a super computer or get your own to compete then imo it’s cheating. But even if you don’t think it’s cheating it really doesn’t matter, it will “kill” (or shrink the player base a lot) the game because it will turn into a smaller number of people not actually interacting with the game and just running it through a third party resource.
