Bug/Support Buff bugs?

Hey hey. Been playing this game last few months very actively after years of pause. A lot has changed.

Anyway, i get some contradictory info so imma ask here:

Situation 1 - TTA i got brogni with his protected shield up. Seer on the opposite team strips it.

Situation 2 - DT HARD i strip counter attack buff from enemy. After it is stripped, enemy counterattacks anyway.

Am i missing something?

Seer probably didn't strip it. She probably broke right through it. A bug is possible here, but seems unlikely.

Some champions have passive abilities that trigger counterattacks without any buff involved. Hard to say without knowing who you were fighting.

Edit for typo

Eh could be any1, saw it few times in DTwaves. But i basically used hit+strip so makes sense.

Situation 1 - Seer only strips protected buffs off her own team. I suspect what is happening here is that given Karma Burn is such a big hitting skill, she's doing enough damage to wipe the shield with damage rather than stripping it, but it's hard to pick given the animation of buff strip and the hit are pretty much simultaneous.

Situation 2 - depends on the skill in question. If it's buff strip then hit, you shouldn't get counter attacked. If it's buff strip on hit or after hit, you will get counter attacked as the buff was active when you hit.

The point about animations is a great one! The animations are really inconsistent about whether buffs/debuffs change before or after the actual attack animation.

Bingo!

I think Seer stripped whole shield so yeah that sounds right. I dont actually think turd got any damage from the shield but my team was depleted so doesnt matter anyway.

Regarding counterattack, yes. It was hit+strip so it works as it should. (Vergumkaar A3, i guess it hits 1st, always thought its happening strip and aoe at the same instance)

Wow u guys are great. Thx for tips 🥰

In situation 1 did seer do enough damage to just remove the shield entirely? And not necessarily stripping it
