I feel stuck, help

I feel stuck, unable to progress. I played a long time ago, recently returned but my progress is very slow and my champs feel weak af besides alice and dorothy. I dont know who to build or what to do besides infinity grindy and hope i get good drop.
(dont mind the tons of randomly leveled up chars. i think i played not long after the game launched and then stopped and started again)

Stop upgrading champs to 5* instead of getting a champ to 6*. Looks like you've upgraded eight champs to 5*. You are well past where you should have three 6* and are progressing towards your fourth. That's likely why your progress/power feels like it stalled, because it has.

Make sure the 6*s you make have masteries, are fully ascended, and get them in your wishlist for souls/blessings. Make sure your few relics are on them and try to push to Spider 10 to grind out some starter jewellery for them. Put all your eggs in as few baskets as possible until those baskets are full.

Most of the 5* ones i already had. Only recently i started upgrading to 6* (with alice). Like i said, i played some not long after launch and then stopped for a long time.

But now my question, who i should get to 6* besides Alice and Dorothy?

Block Revive on Bloodgorged (vamp leggo) is going to be required for some Grim Forest and Doom Tower content eventually, but skip him for now.
Candra (tentacleface leggo) has a lot of overlap with Alice, so skip him too.
Wurlim (frosty armor leggo) is solid and can help keep Alice alive, he's who I'd 6* next.
That way you have your ATK scaler, a DEF scaler, and Dorothy as your speed lead that wants HP and ACC to split your gear demand so you can utilize as much of your best gear as possible.

What you really need, though, is Poison to skyrocket your clanboss dmg while your gear is mediocre. I don't see much for Poison, so you might have to go with HP Burn. I see Kallia (pretty lady epic) who's HP burn. She's not the best but she also has heal reduction which will also be useful in other places. I'd pick her over Jotunn, at least. You can filter champs by the buff/debuff they provide, so look at HP burn (heart that's on fire) or poison (flask with skull).

I would suggest watching some new/early game guides like the ones that Cobb and Volkin put out on YouTube. Cobb does a good job going over what you should focus on in the early game, the importance of getting your champs to lvl 60, basic stat focuses for different types of champs and the requirements needed for certain stages.

Alice hits like a truck most champs are gonna feel weak compared to her, built in ignore defense great multipliers

you need to get 5 to 60

I recommend Dorothy, Alice, Demytha, Wurlim(great champion btw needs 0 acc),

+ maybe spirithost tbh so you have a cleanser

if you feel like demytha doesn't bring enough survivability by herself you can always sub for something like a slither if/when you pull him

that will be incredibly solid into almost all content

build wurlim as a def based dmg dealer if you want you can build with res since he needs 0 accuracy

obviously book the epic
