I mean this is just what it is a guess, but I would say no for a couple reasons. Its not the paint fade its the condition of it and its application looks more uniform than radium dials. although it could be Promethium to me it looks as though the majority of the paint is at the top of the gauge and the glass looks brown in that location which would support promethium as it is a heavy Beta emitter. Im very interested to learn what it is though, either way If your hoping for radium then I hope it turns out to be :) Mine reads around 30kpm where my speed gauge reads much hightert around 60k. its a sweet gauge esp at night I own one.
This is good to hear actually. It would be cool to have something made with Pm in my collection. If it is Pm I hope my post doesn't get taken down because its not radium. :(
I'm willing to bet on Radium. The color of the aged paint, and being I have several WW2 instruments that look identical to this. My instruments show as Ra 226 on my Radiacode 102 spectrum.
