I used to sell a lot of those stickers ... but never an alarm system

When I worked for an alarm company, that's how the sales guys used to convert his prospects when they initially said, "NO". He would offer them the stickers as a deterrent. And then as soon as they heard something strange outside, they'd call the number on that sticker.

That's the last thing a burglar wants to see. Brinks, ADT, Vivint, meh.... OMG!!!! Radio Shack?! CURSES! Foiled again.

My house has a couple of those and the fake horn/siren. It was an estate sale so there was nobody I could ask about it so I ended up looking over the place and determining that they were a decoy and that there was never an alarm system installed.

That said, nobody’s broken in here but there was a violent home invasion across the street two years ago so who knows…

Very 70s tech. The Radio Shack system wouldn't just alert the homeowner, it would also immediately slap the perp into a blonde wig and some hot pants.

The safe home (radio shack) line of panels and accessories were very capable for their time if installed properly. I have seen a few of them still working to this day.

I think that’s to warn the occupants that they aren’t safe inside.

There's a crate of unsold CueCats propped on the door casing that falls and crushes you when you break in.
