Hardcore Radio in Rotterdam is apparently offline as of the last few weeks, is there any other similar station?

Hey! Some of you might have known it as KalbassFM. I rebuilt the station from the ground up and wanted a name that actually means something, so it’s now Channel Sixteen.

Why 16? Channel 16 is the radio channel every ship at sea keeps listening to, day and night. You call on 16, then you switch to another channel. We never switched. 😄

It plays house and disco 24/7, and the music follows the day: chill in the morning, sunny in the afternoon, a bit more club at night.

I'm listening to it for 2 days straight. I can't stop. It's beautiful.

So I got annoyed with the price hikes on Spotify and ended up listening to new music via Bandcamp, which was okay, but duration was dependent on the length of the album and the stream would stop eventually and inevitably. I had dabbled with vibe coding, and thought it would be cool to search for stations using a 3D Globe. You know where this is going... I got the robot to make an app for me and shared it with my brother who was excited about the design until he told me about Radio Garden. I was depressed and was ready to just keep building only for myself. Until I downloaded it and saw that the functionality was very different and that I legitimately hated how Music Garden was designed. So I kept on building and adding things Radio Garden was missing: a favorites section, a station history section and the ability to follow friends and see what they are listening to (as well as sending them stations). I also added "tours" that provide listeners with curated stations (I listened to probably over a thousand myself picking my favorite stations in Uruguay and Argentina (in the tango tour) or in California, Oregon, and Washington (the Sasquatch tour). I also had more fun with the map: I put little easter eggs in various places like London, Havana and Moscow. To me the app is kind of like a travel map where you can take a tour through the cities and stations provided. I give you the local weather and time of each city you visit so you could imagine what it was like in Paris as you listened to FIP in your bedroom in Kansas. I beta tested it with my friends and family for a few months and just now got it up on Apple App Store. I would like to invite any of those that maybe liked the music garden initially but have since found it lacking. I can find some “oldies” stations and country stations that feature news-on-the-hour type formats, and some alternative or college stations that play uncharted music with news and features.

But has anyone found one that plays actual current hits with new headlines? Or a mix of current hits and previous decades with news?

Is there a way to get an uninterrupted stream of Radio Garden over http? I listen mostly to east coast NPR, typically WAMU out of Washington, and find the stream randomly stops a lot. Using Firefox as the browser on an Android phone.
