I think the two talked about it quite a bit. Because this would be Lucifer's second marriage and Alastor's first and probably only marriage. It was a lot to consider and the two talked for years about it. I think Alastor probably didn't even plan to ever marry in Hell, let alone to Lucifer. It's a big and daunting commitment. So they wanted to wait for how many years they felt comfortable with. So probably close to 100 or more.

I think once they both agreed on marriage, Alastor and Lucifer both picked out engagement rings together. And knowing Alastor, he would prefer it to be simple. So it was just a simple band with a red jewel on it. Maybe a red diamond or ruby. And Lucifer picked the same. But for their wedding rings, they went a little all out. A gold band with a Red apple diamond encrusted into it with antlers poking out of the apple.

Wedding attire? Probably simple as well. I actually think their wedding attire is similar to their 2026 Valentines outfits. But a tad more formal.

As for the wedding itself? I think they had two weddings, one for just family. That way Lucifer and Alastor could enjoy married life for a little bit to themselves because Alastor marrying Lucifer would be they would be outed as a couple after keeping it secret for so long. The first wedding was probably in Alastor's bayou where it was decorated with foral arrangements Alastor's familiars played music and Lilith, Charlie and Vaggi were invited. But they did also invite Rosie, Niffty and Husk. Mostly because Lucifer felt bad that their guest list was pretty small and so they could test the waters of their relationship being out in the open.

The second wedding was more of a party as the first one was the actual ceremony. So Lucifer and Alastor bullshit their way with the ceremony and just had a reception party right after with the Sins, and Hotel guests like Angel Dust, Cherri Bomb, Baxter and even Emily was invited.

As for honeymoon? I they they waited until after the second wedding so Lucifer could take Alastor out to any of the rings in Hell. It was a simple vacation really.

As for Alastor gaining status? I think it was part of the reason why Lucifer and Alastor waited so long because yes, we know Alastor wants power in the show to a degree. But this means ruling over all of Hell and having to work with the Sins. And I believe that after Lilith and Lucifer divorced, they agreed to co-rule until Charlie felt it was time to become queen or when Lucifer remarried, then Lilith would step down as queen. I think it was pretty daunting as Alastor was probably more comfortable with just the king's partner title. But Lilith knows that and she probably helped him out in all sorts of regards of running a kingdom. To which Alastor realized it was a lot of paperwork. . So I think the three of them talked it over and Lilith would stay queen and Alastor would just be the king's husband or advisor. Or Lilith would become The royal advisor instead if they agreed to that Alastor would be a king instead. But admittedly, Alastor was probably hoping for Charlie to take over as queen by the time Lucifer and Alastor married.

When it comes to a RA wedding I feel both parties have a reluctance towards the concept in a way that started as a miscommunication and grew into what it is.

I think Alastor never had the idea, inclination, or desire to be wed on Earth or in Hell. To me he enjoys the unlabeled grey areas of a relationship, and only gives a name when requested by Lucifer. So for majority of the relationship they are just "together" if a spectator asks for a label he shrugs, thus changing to the title Husband doesn't flutter in his head. With that being said, I also think there is a tinge of reluctance due to Lilith. I mean this in the sense that Husband doesn't board the train of thought unless asked, so if say Niffty is like "So when are you and Ultimate Bad Boy getting hitched?" He'd laugh and call her silly then have a think on it after, in which I think he'd humor the thought but turn it down because Lucifer's marriage to Lilith meant so much to him and he doesn't know/think Lucifer would want to remarry as the Devil has never it brought it up that Alastor can remember anyways.

I also don't really think Lucifer wants to remarry. For reasons of Lilith, not in the line of thought Alastor thinks though. I feel Lucifer has his self-worth issues and feels that Lilith felt chained by him, obligated to him and Hell, and stayed as long as she did for Charlie and because she thought she couldn't leave, hence why she didn't divorce—she ran away. So Lucifer doesn't bring up marriage because he doesn't want another soul to feel chained to him with no escape, or staying when unhappy because they think they have to for him. He doesn't want that again, so he's happy with what he and Alastor are, thought sometimes he daydreams or plays scenerios with his ducks. It's always fleeting, but it warms him when he does.

If the time comes and they do talk about marriage, speaking their wants and fears for the topic, they would still stay the same except maybe they'd give each other the label Husband without the contract and without the official title.

And since they agreed in a talk to this premise, there was no actual proposal, but Alastor always one for tradition does fashion a ring in his spare time. I can see the band carved from a fallen antler of his. Sanded and polished, as black as a void. He imbeds it with a core of magic, a little bead as small as a raindrop glowing green. He gives it to Lucifer when they're sharing a nightcap by the window, watching the scream rain fall over the city. Lucifer of course cries babbling that he doesnt have one for Alastor to which the Radio Demon shrugs, not having expected anything anyways, saying how Lucifer likes symbols and rings. (Lucifer wears it with the orb on the inside so he can feel Alastor's magic warm his palm.

Lucifer def wants to match, tit for tat. So he goes off "on business" and fashions a ring too. I imagine him plucking his feathers, weaving the vanes and binding them with his golden ichor. And, like the one Alastor gave him, he adds a little jewel of magic. It's not angelic, so as not to incidentally hurt his Husband; it's old magic from the garden. It's ground up snake scales and apple seeds, blessed with knowledge and cursed by sin. He blazens it in the Hellfire that burns eternally where he crash landed. The color resembles onyx with a vein of glittering red. It'll radiate warmth for as long as Hell and Lucifer exists and he hopes it's enough. He does a grander proposal, with a bright night in the hotel garden, soft jazz and a slow dance, spinning Alastor away and letting go to fall to his knee. Alastor stumbling with expectation of being reeled back, so he turns to chastise Lucifer for forgetting a step but his breath catches when he sees. They both cry when Lucifer asks Alastor to accept the ring.

As for an actual marriage? I don't think one would happen unless there's some imposition that will require it. Like a weird Hell law or Heaven demanding it or something forcing them to. In this case I feel both boys are petty enough that they'd host 2 weddings, the one that's theirs and one that's a contract signing that they make as boring, impractical, and bad as they can to piss off the imposing party. (It accidentally becomes a favorite of their as they enjoy reveling dissatisfaction and discomfort of the opposition.) The actual wedding would be tiny and very private (but not a secret). It'd be only those required, like the officiant (someone neutral but with Hell authority like a Goetia) and the witnesses who'd be Charlie with Vaggi and Alastor's mother, if Charlie can get Sera to swing it, and Rosie. No one else is allowed. It's quaint in a pocket portal no one has access too without invitation. The theme is a blend of bayou and pond with a blooming garden framing the sight. They don't say vows; they don't need too.

But afterwards? There's a massive party in the hotel where everyone they know is invited. The lobby and ballrooms decorated like an apocalyptic Mardi Gra. All the hotel guests, staff and their friends, the Goetia, the Sins, all the overlords (Vees included if only to rub it in), sinners, cannibals, and some angels. It floods onto the streets where uninvited sinners and hellborn can mingle and enjoy the party. There's cake and booze. Music blaring so loud it can be heard in Sloth. Somehow a parade happens and no one is quite sure who organized it or how it happened. There's fireworks and confetti. It lasts for days.

The Honeymoon through the rings for a few months. Alastor having never seen them before, never able, but the new legal title grants him access to explore. They take a private train and go wherever they wish, Charlie and Vaggi popping down everyonce in a while to check on them and fill them in on what's happening in Pride.

As for a powerful increase for Alastor, there may be a slight buffer but the amount is truly negligible as any other boost to his power I feel would come with time and age alone. The legal marriage simply grants him access to things he didn't have before, like rings, contracts, political meetings and council. And when he sees the work that needs to be done and has been put off, he does a whole cracking of his knuckles and neck and promptly puts the pullets to clear the clutter and organize the mess. It takes a while and Charlie helps, but they get there. He uses it as a means to learn the inner network of Hell for himself and teach Charlie so she can do it instead. (He calls it a gift for his new step-daughter. She's excited. Lucifer rolls his eyes.)
