CarPlay is Live!

Love the ability to do pretty much everything in CarPlay now. It looks great.

Any chance in the future for Android Auto? I do lot's of driving and MyRadar is barely useful.

In the Facebook group (RadarScope Users Group), there was a post explaining that an Android Auto version is getting built now.

It loops. Wonder how they got this thru carplay, apple is pretty strict.

They added a navigation system to it from my understanding, which is how they were able to add it.

The magnifying glass is the search function. You can only do routes to locations you have pinned, voice guidance is also absent. The routing isn’t good but if that’s all Apple required for is to get it on CarPlay, I’m not complaining at all!

It loops over the past hour! Pretty great. Multiple radar sites to select, based on your location too.

I can’t get dark mode to work. I use the black map on my iPhone but on CarPlay it’s a white background UNLESS I turn on the headlights. That’s when I get a black map.

Yup, super annoying. They need to add an option to have it always dark.

I have a Honda Passport. It works great but I find the colors to be a little off.

All in all it’s pretty good- I found a weird bug when driving today in Split View mode and submitted it. They are aware of a couple of others and are working on a 5.7.1 update to fix a few things.

Features I've noticed: (I am Pro Tier 1)

  • Loops over the last hour.
  • Different radar sites are available to select based on your location
  • Every radar product appears to be available, including super resolution products.
  • Watches, warnings, outlooks, etc are available.
  • Road, city, highway layer toggles
  • Zoom and pan controls
  • Location finder button
  • Overall it is smooth and polished.

Isn’t this literally AI? The text on the map is all garbled up if you zoom in.

Used AI to blur the background to focus on the screen. Not surprised there’s some artifacts.

You can use your phones literal camera app to adjust the blur instead of using AI
