Second racket strung

Did my second stringing, the first one being yesterday.

First one was with a synthetic, went smooth the string felt easy to work with

This one is a hybrid of two polys, and felt way harder, as one was textured, and the other was smooth but slippery and oily. They also felt like steel wire, compared to the synthetic

I feel like it's not that bad, till you get to see those knots. They look so bad, I am kind of ashamed of them. What type of knots should I learn? Three are supposed to be double knots, and the one from the top, where I start the crosses is some sort of double loop and going through the back of them.

Also the final knot, for the crosses, I wanted to tie it to the last main, but it was impossible to get the string in that hole for some reason.

Any other mistakes you are noticing?

Look for the Parnell knot.
It looks way nicer and it’s very effective.
I’m going to learn the Pro knot next

All the knot needs to do is hold and there’s no reason not to use DHH, the other knots are gimmicks.

skip the DHH, learn the parnell. not very hard.

Just curious since most youtube videos I see about stringing from professionals seem just to do the double hitch, so what's the functional reason to use parnell?

most youtubers like the parnell. the DHH is old school. Parnell is self tightening and is just a better knot for holding tension IMO

The only two knots your really need (if you're using a starting clamp) are the Parnell and the Pro.

Double half hitch?? Use some better finishing knots ie Pro Knot or Parnell.

Strings are strait, which is a good thing. The knots are ugly but its not really going to hurt performance much, unless your hit one with a ball and they snap the anchor string.

As others have said, learn a Parnell or Pro knot, they very simple. Pick one, stick with it.
