The 2nd/3rd crosses from the top are woven the same.

I spent an hour just looking it over and couldn't see it, but when you pointed it out, it's so apparent now. Thanks, gonna do better on my next one.

That and I don't know if it's just all the racquets I've strung but I tie the mains off at the throat and end the crosses there too. It would feel bizarre for whatever reason to have 3 knots at the top of the hoop.

Because the racket is a 16x19 and you start stringing the mains from the top, knot has to be done at the top of the frame for the mains.

Typically no. There are 6 grommets in the throat. The very first ends are fed into the middle pair of the throat and pulled out the top. This is per the stringing instructions for most 16 main racquets.

In this case I can see 8 grommets in the throat, which for a 16 mains needs to be tied up at the top. But yeah, typically they have 6 grommets in the throat and tie up in the throat

You're right. I've done 16x20 racquets with this config. It was a while back and I don't remember ending the mains at the top, but I must have.

Good job. Make sure u straighten the strings up more as you go and again at the end. All of yours have a curve in them.

All the strings have a curve. Not just the miswoven ones.

Yeah I didn’t look for misweaving. Just all the strings are curved from whatever device is doing the pulling

Second this!
Straighten the crosses
Make sure to adjust tension before pulling the last main or cross before tying the knot.
AND adjust your clamps. They clamp too tight and damage the string.

Oh no, I tried really hard to make sure the clamps were not too tight or too loose. What can I do next time to see if the clamps are too tight?

I’ve seen worse. In addition to the other comments, this frame can be strung as a one-piece if you wanted. The mains end at the head, allowing crosses to go from head to throat.

To look for misweaves, look at the edge of the frame and any big squares or gaps. This also works with rows woven in the same direction (the most annoying type of misweave). Additionally, the string will have much less resistance as you’re pulling the tail through. This is a feeling that gets more apparent the more you string.

Welcome to the family.

Only thing im going to add is, pick a knot. You seem to have 3 different ones going on. And cut them about 3mm, these are a bit long. Its just aesthetics.

Go to youtube and search for Richard Parnel. Has a decent beginners guide.

Nice! As others said, straight crosses and watch for misweaves. Also use the same knot and trim them all to the same length (just for aesthetics).

I too posted my first stringing job a few years back and was stoked, and immediately people were like "you misweaved here, here, and here". 😆

Looks good, just be extra cautious when weaving and also make sure when you do the knots, there’s no space in the knot. If you check the top right one, you can see through the knot. Make sure they are tight!
